Casual Fridays...yes or no?
I've been realizing it's been way too long for a poll...so...
Who get's to wear casual clothes on Fridays? I'm not talkin' Dockers...I'm talkin' jeans?
ME!!!!!!!!!! It's my one panty-hose free day of the week! TGIF!

Sorry to hear you only have one dungaree day each week. I'm a jeans and shorts man 7 days a week. Yet another benefit of working in a university environment.
Been here 8+ years and had countless newbies ask me "how do you get away with it?". I NEVER asked what the dress code was when I started!
Shorts days are the best 'cuz there is always someone new running around the building that has never seen my tatttoo. Always a good discussion starter.

My boss still gets on me about not tucking in my shirt and only wearing khakis and nice shirts....I told him I'll start wearing dress pants and tucked in shirts when he gives me a bigger raise to buy a new wardrobe

The only time I can wear jeans in the office is when I come in on the weekend. Which isn't such a bad thing when that paralegal who works on the same floor as I do works weekends.
But we do have a business casual dress code so except for the 2 months or so when I was going to a client's office in Connecticut almost every day I've only worn a suit and tie about 6 or 7 times in the last 5 years.

My workplace is VERY casual so far so that one guy works in socks and PJs another guy was wearing a dress to work for a while (don't ask, suffice to say he was "proving a point").
Oddly enough for a while people sponstainiously (sp) started doing a formal Friday, coming to work in suits, dress shirts, ties etc.
One department does a theme Friday. Some memorable themes include Disco, Vegas, Shrek, super hero, cross-dress friday but the best was Dick Walsh day. Dick Walsh is an animator with white hair, black rimmed glasses who always dresses in black. So the whole department wore black, glasses and white wigs. Many even had a cutout of Disk's face on a stick which they held up in front of thier own.

It's flip-flops for me almost every day of the year!
Sometimes I wear my Adidas, but only if there's snow on the ground.

our dress code is jeans and tees or polos during the year and shorts during the spring and summer. When we have big shot visitors come it is business casual which is fine because we only dress up about 5 to 10 times a year anyway.

I have to admit I have it pretty easy on this job, since the "public" is rarely here. Although we're not really supposed to, everyone wears nice jeans any day of the week. Mon-Thur we at least wear shirts with collars (hey-Hawaaiin shirts have collars!
) and footwear that isn't sandals or sneakers. Fridays we can wear Tshirt and tennis shoes. For some reason the Big Boss doesn't mind jeans too much as long as they are decent looking. He draws the line at tennis shoes though.
