Jury Duty....ever served?
I loved Quint's story about jury duty...so BB thought, "hey! another poll opportunity!"
Ever served in jury duty?
Me? Nahhhh. Never even been called. I do think it would be interesting though.

I was called for Fed. jury duty just before I was leaving for college, but didn't get to serve since I was leaving. I was selected for the Grand Jury a couple of years ago. I loved it. We only had to serve one session of 2-3 days, but I served on 3 sessions.
Do I dare disturb the universe?

Does Grand Jury dutie count?
If so yep.
Didn't much like it. Never heard both sides of the story. Never even saw the accused. And it lasted for 3 months.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body; but rather to skid in PortSide, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming,
'What a lovely cruise!'

been called four times and served twice. the first was a civil suit-case lasted a week and we found against the plaintiff. the second was an aggravated kidnapping and first degree murder case and we found him guilty on both counts.
felt the experience both times was a good one; judges in both cases came and talked to the jury after we delivered the verdict; showed me that the system can work.

Who cares what a person chooses to do to their own body. Now if the person gets coked up and robs somebody, THEN you arrest them. Not just for doing coke itself.
Drugs should be treated the same as alcohol....punish the real crime, not the substance.
Then again, I'm big on this thing called personal freedom, responsibility and limited government. Silly me.
