A Salty Piece of Land?

Post by spoonerhizolehound »

Hey PH's
Is it me or does anyone else feel that Jimmy should be playing the title song of the tour on the tour? It's a great tune and it should be played for that reason alone. I haven't seen it on any of the set lists thus far. I hope he starts playing it.

The song

If you haven't heard the song before it's because you haven't purchased thebook. In the back cover of Jimmy's new book you will find a bonus CD. It is the title song of the book and the tour. It is just the one song and it is absolutely fantastic, (in my opinion).

Hopeful

Post by spoonerhizolehound »

I sure hope he does start playing it. I heard him do it live when he did the book reading, (in a movie theater via sattelite) and it sounded great. I was saying to myself then, "I've never heard this one before". It's just a great tune and how could he not play it on the tour named after it?

Because the tour is not named after the tune, it's named after the book. The song is just an added feature to the book. :)

While the tour and book share the same name the title track is the 3-4 min. version of the book. It sums up what the book is about. So the book and the song are one and the same. This is why the song should be played.

Guys, I bought the book the day it came out. My copy did not come with the CD. SO , I have not heard it at all. I just wrote one of the stores, asking about this. I may have to buy a new copy of the book to get the CD.

Playing the song would be another way for him to promo and get people interested in the book...and, it's a great song.
