She's also almost 50 years old so it's time to drop the giggling little girl act. She's not a cheerleader anymore, she's supposed to be a reporter. The Today Show is part of NBC News, not the entertainment division.

It is? I never really saw any of the Today Show as news (although one could argue that the Weather snippets are, I suppose). I thought they were supposed to be light, and frothy, like the wisps of intellect Katie shows from time to time.

that's the biggest problem, for many many years it was in the entertainment div. only recently has it become a "news div." show....

Can we give her (and Lauer) any points for at least not being clueless to the Parrothead way? I really don't care for her but some of hosts of the shows he goes on don't know a thing (see Ellen DeGeneres).

That was basically my original point before the Katie-bashing tangent began. I give Katie, Matt and Al credit for getting into it when Jimmy's there. I think that Coastal Confessions DVD will need some good publicity...e.g. a Today Show appearance.

Ellen has more important things on her mind that mindless, silly fun like wearing a parrot hat.. She traded WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY up from Ann Heche to Portia diRossi.. keeping that blonde happy probably takes almost all Ellen's clock-cycles. She screws this one up, it's back to the minor leagues and being the next Mrs. Rosi O'Donnell...

Yes Larry,but you can't compare everyone to Heather. Or on the other hand ,why not? I had my picture taken with her the same place and time you did in Key West. I keep it at work and share with friends about how nice a person she is,as were all the Coral Reefers that day.

For anyone who thought JB might be on the Today Show June 24, it's no longer TBA. The Today Show's website has Amy Grant listed as that day's guest. There are still open dates on July 22 & 29, August 5, 12 & 19 and September 2. You can probably rule out August 19, it's 2 days before the Cincinnati show, and September 2, that's the Friday before the Wrigley Field shows. The other dates all are during the break between legs of the tour so they would fit in JB's schedule if he's going to be on this year.
