Yes, folks, Little Feat recorded at Shrimpboat Sound in November with Mac McAnally producing. I ran in to Mac and Bill Payne walking down Duval Street on the evening of Nov. 24, and saw them again at breakfast in Pepe's restaurant on Nov. 26 with more band members.
After breakfast they strolled across the street to Shrimpboat Sound. I could hear them warming up later as I stood outside the studio. Later that afternoon, I saw Mac standing on the deck outside Shrimpboat's door, gazing at the tourists walking by, during a break from the recording session.
No sign of Jimmy at that time. We asked around to people in the know and a local business owner made a call and confirmed that Buffett wasn't there at that moment. Don't know if he was there earlier during the sessions or showed up later?
