Just wondering if any of you have ever met Jimmy in person? And what he's like in "real life"

well sooner or later some one will come along and tell you about the experiance monkey boy had the night berfore a today show gig a couple of years ago.
when he shows up again, i am sure he will be more than happy to show pics and talk at lenght about it.

Does having him personally hand my daughter a beach ball (that she still treasures ) and then tell me he does have songs she doesn't know the lyrics to count? (FWIW I answered .... "YET!" ) If not, then ... no.

I hope to have him play in my restaurant in November....

I met him in 2003 in Orlando... how do you post pictures? my sister won a wish from the Make a Wish Foundation... we got to stay at the Hard Rock, free dinner and drinks at M-Ville (where Trini played and JB came out for a few songs)... backstage passes, got to meet the band... it was super awesome..

Yeah, met him first at a book signing in Berkely Ca, right after Jerry Garcia's death. Bought him a tie dye shirt from a street vendor and shared a few Dead Stories. Turns out Jerry was a big parrothead and often was seen sitting in the front row at the shoreline shows. At the show the next day a band was playing before the show out in the lot of the Shoreline amphitheatre. The boys from the band found our stash of mom's chocolate chip cookies. While watching the band play, Jimmy came up behind me, put his hand on my shoulder and asked me "Where are the cookies?" Gave him a couple dozen for the bus, and ever since then I bring him mom's fresh baked cookies at every show I attend. They let me up on Stage at the Del Mar Race Track show to deliver the cookies at the end and he later sent my mom a signed box set. Invited me to Play "Stumpo el Bando" in Irvine, where he told me "***** you" in front of 20,000 fans. I stumped em, won me a signed box set, but cost me a $5.00 beer. Nice trade.

I never have met him in real life, but I did once dream of meeting him. I dreamed that I was sitting at my desk at work when Jimmy came to the window that overlooks my desk and called my name! Immediately, I got up and walked around the corner to where he was standing. As I approached, he extended his hand for me to shake. As I began to shake his hand, he said, "Hi, how are you doing? I'm Jimmy Buffett!" I said, "You're kidding!" He replied, "Well, sometimes I do kid, but I'm not now!"

And, then: DAMN IT! I WOKE UP!!

I tried so hard to go right back to sleep, so I could finish my conversation with him, but it didn't happen!
