Who do you think those girls in Texas grow up idolizing??

You can rip California up and down for its "immorality",
but you COUNT ON the great oil state of Texas to be among the leaders of HYPOCRISY!! :x

Now, that didn't come off as confrontational, did it?

are you intentionally trying to p*** some Texans off??
I'll admit I have a chip on my shoulder when it comes to Texas politics and industry.

As a Californian, I'm still bitter about the energy scam that was run on us in '01, and won't be further investigated because a certain Texan in D.C. who doesn't really feel it is a priority.
Another joke.
..and this cheerleader-gate just kinda made it boil over a little

Other than that, I've had great times being in Austin, good music, good steaks, and good people in general (that I've met and partied with!)
$#@&...only Vegas again?? Padres ...gotta start believin'!Bring on '14 Spring Training!

California just sucks as a whole. No need to point out every reason why. I won't live long enough.
Sounds like the bitter retort of someone stuck in some land-locked blizzard-bound cabin up North  Am I correct?
Nothing bitter about it. I have the unfortunate need to have to travel to your state at least 4 or 5 times a year and it sucks. I can with all honesty say that of the 49 states that I have been to it would be the last which I would move to. Maybe Maine will move it to the second to last state when I get around to visiting there.

Pols and federal employees s***. They just hold back progress. I say trim out the bureaucrats by about 80% for a good start.

I don't make enough money to be a bureacrat.
Without the DOD you wouldn't have a military. The military is the DOD.
I totally agree triming the federal Govt. I would start with the FCC. Stop the faith based funding. Welfare. Inividual and Corporate. The IRS could probably be reformed and I'm sure there are many more.

You never answered yesterday....Where do you work?

I work for a holding company that has Lumber and Construction interests.
Do you really think that the non-military members of the DOD are necessary?

Do you have any idea what it takes to deploy the military?
Do you know how many jobs are created because of the military?
Civilian jobs are necessary. I guess you could have a draft and put military people in civilian positions.
Civilians build weapons, planes, buy supplies, do scientific research.
I would bet that your Lumber interests probably have some DOD dealings?

I thought that right wing consevatives Republicans were all for a strong military?

Strong military yes. Welfare through big government no. If you are not in the trenches, you are wasting our tax dollars. Privatize everything else.

Yeah, that'll work. Trade one bureaucracy for another. You know small businesses aren't going to be cranking out tanks and other equipment in 6 man shops...

At least businesses have someone that they are accountable to. You grew up in the rural west, did you have any forest service locations near you?
