Hey, Tom.........

Sounds like we need to arrange a caravan to go to Mohegan! <ticket gods willing, of course!>

The sale date mentioned above was April 18, that would be a Monday if it's true..........

agreed . . .and we got over that drinkin'/drivin' thing years ago . . .

what airport is the closest ? ? , sorry, I know absolutely nothing about this area . . .when I moved to Tampa, I swore I would never go further north than Orlando . . . :D

can't wait for this one. . .so many new PH phriends to meet (not meat )

bradley is easier. but check rates with both sometimes providence is cheaper especially with southwest. song flies into hartford.hotel rates are high 375.00( and i don't have enough points) , but there are a couple off of 395 nearby.i'll try and get the names.tickets will be my first concern . hotel will be easy.i can also pick up a couple of people at bradley if need be. not far from there.

Southwest flies to Hartford as well. But you're right, Providence is sometimes cheaper. I'd check out both.

I would check Delta Song ( www.flysong.com ) They fly direct flights from Tampa to Hartford (thats where it sounds like you are coming from). I ahve flown from hartford to west palm several times very cheap.

I just checked it, $79 each way, book it now before it goes up...

A statewide Parrothead caravan!! Sounds like a plan............just a hunch, only a hunch, nothing but a hunch, but how great would it be if Peter Mayer played the Wolf's Den the night before?

Maybe JB will give the band the night off and do a solo acoustic show? Or maybe he'll just have the "beach band" with him.

if that happens i'll need friday off.i'll have to pull up the W.D schedule up.There is a band that plays on the Cape and has played the W.D and also has opened or i should say played before a Buffett concert at GW. They are called the BaHa Brothers. They are awsome. I wonder if they would play the WD the day of the show as a warm up or a pre-concert party.Check out there site. I think it's bahabrothers.com http://www.bahabrothers.com/

I have a feeling that most of these tickets are going to be going to the corporate boys and high rollers as package deals. After them and the scalpers that already have there deals in place if 50% go on sale to the general public I will be surprised.

I was down at Mohegan last week and I have to tell you it's a really nice place and the rooms are fabulous but a hundred dollar room through the week goes for 350 and up and most of the rooms are booked months in advance. If you do get tickets the nearest town is Norwich and there is a Ramada Inn and a couple of other hotels there and I think they all run shuttles to the casino. Norwich is on I395 and maybe 15 minutes away. Groton is about 25 minutes on route 12 (I think) and there are 5 or 6 hotels there. With 2 casinos in the area and this being a weekend all the hotels will charge you a small fortune for a room. Groton is a Navy town so if you are in the Military or work for the government you might can get the daily Per Diem rate for a room.

The best part about Mohegan: there are 3 Krispy Kreme donut shops in the place that are open 24 hours.

I hear some people expressing their discord for this venue. All I have to say is, what difference does it matter where Jimmy plays? I would go see him play in a wet shoe box if I could get the tickets! Not only that but since Jimmy typically comes to the NY area every other year this works out fine. Boo hoo, the Mohegan Sun only holds 10K. I don't care if it accomodated three so long as it is my ass planted in one of those seats! I'm glad Jimmy is playing a little closer to NY this year, since there are no signs of him playing in NY. This is a show I am going to do my damndest to get tickets for, as well as any other surrounding shows.

I trust you to do what you say you're going to do...

Mohegan Sun is on a Friday and Great Woods is on a Monday. On Saturday, you'll need to overnight SOASOAPT for Monday morning delivery (unless someone can take him to GW). That will probably run around $30 to $40.

Can you do it?

Sounds like a plan. I'll put the Balcony Girls down for Mohegan Sun, with a note that you can transport him to Great Woods. If anything changes, please send me a PM. :D
