Seems to me that the pre-sales were used for "season ticket" holders for sports venues where Jimmy is playing (i.e., Philly, Pittsburgh), and the tickets were being handled by someone OTHER than Ticketmaster.
Don't know that I've ever seen a pre-sale for Jimmy shows that has been handled through Ticketmaster, and I doubt that they'll be one here. Although I have seen pre-sales for other artists on Ticketmaster (Santana a few weeks ago comes to mind).

I was able to snag pre-sale tickets to last year's Dallas show by using the Alan Jackson password.SomeGuyNamedDan wrote:Seems to me that the pre-sales were used for "season ticket" holders for sports venues where Jimmy is playing (i.e., Philly, Pittsburgh), and the tickets were being handled by someone OTHER than Ticketmaster.

Pre-sales happen, but not always. Just enjoy them when they do and be thankful for the coconut telegraph!

The one at the Schott was thru ticketmaster. The Schott emailed a password and a link to ticketmaster. You had to give the password and were then able to purchase tickets.SomeGuyNamedDan wrote:Seems to me that the pre-sales were used for "season ticket" holders for sports venues where Jimmy is playing (i.e., Philly, Pittsburgh), and the tickets were being handled by someone OTHER than Ticketmaster.

In Philly, I am a season ticket holder for the Wings lacrosse team which plays in a Comcast-owned building. Comcast is the owner of New Era Tickets who offered the tickets (instead of Ticketmaster) and sent out an e-mail to all of their season ticket holders with a password and a link.
That's how it happened in Philly this year but yes, Buffett pre-sales have been kinda rare in the past.

All of the presales I've ever seen, and never one for Buffett, comes from the artist. For instance, I know KISS and Bon Jovi had presales for their concerts, but you had to be a fan club member. Although, Motley Crue, who recently came through town, did have a presale too, but I think that came from the venue. I would not expect to see one for Buffett anytime soon. They'd be sold out before the official sale date!

Ballpark venues excluded.....I'm not part of one, but I believe they are done through the local PHC's.
Question: "And now Kenny Chesney has recorded a beach album." Jimmy's Answer: "It's flattering. Some people say I should be p*** off about it but I'm really not. It's the highest form of flattery, and I'm fine with it."
