As to the original question, your political affiliation can lie wherever it wants, as long as there is no spewing of political agenda come concert day.

This war isn't anywhere near being over. Syria and Iran are next. The military is desperate for recruits. The army raised the enlistment age for the reserve and gaurd to 39 years old. Look for a draft if recruitment goals are not met.

I have bad fuel injectors, need a tune-up and probably don't get much better mileage than you do right now. Every time I think I have enough to fix it, it is time to put more gas in the tank

Would that make you enlist?

In May the BRAC will announce various military bases to be closed in the U.S. Probably a 25% cut in the number of bases. That will eliminate some positions that are no longer needed. Programs and personel. A lot will be offered early outs, early retirement, or the chance to transfer jobs elsewhere.
