I saw Jackson Browne at Jones Beach a few years ago, I thought he put on a good show. Someone yelled "Freebird!" and he actually sang the first few lines.

I saw someone do that too, can't remember who it was but when it was yelled out the band started with the first few bars, stopped and the lead singer said "We really should learn that song someday" the place erupted in laughter.

A few years ago at Jones Beach, we walked out of an Allman Brothers concert after 35 minutes due to sheer boredom............... This was right after Dicky Betts left the band..............

Robert Plant @ Brendan Byrne Arena - late '80s
Kept looking at this watch as if he couldn't wait to get out of there.
Dickey Betts & Great Southern @ College of Mount Saint Vincent - 1978
Show started an hour and a half late and then it was interminable drum solos during every song.
Bon Jovi @ Brendan Byrne Arena - 1987/88
My girlfriend (now wife) wanted to go. I couldn't wait to get out of there until Little Steven (aka Steve Van Zandt) joined Bon Jovi for the encore.

I'm not sure if "terrible" is the right word but I caught part of his set at the Austin City Limits Music Festival a few years back and it was all I could do to keep from slipping into a coma. Kinda like the one time I saw the Dave Matthews Band. Jack may be one of the nicest guys in rock these days but that may also be his downfall as a live performer. After watching for 3 or 4 songs, "charismatic" wouldn't exactly be one of the first words to pop into my head when describing his stage presence.

A couple of people have heard of my "worst concert experience" from a personal point of view ...... but it is not something that will be posted publicly - its not that interesting anyway ...
but for music entertainment? it would have to be "Katrina and the Waves" - it was just awful - and I only went cause I was in our Army boozer and someone got free tickets that afternoon and I was pretty "gone" at that point so just went along ......

2 of 'em:
1972. Norman Greenbaum, when "Spirit in the Sky" was a hit. He played at our high school. Unfortunately, he didnt bring his band, and played solo on thew acoustic guitar. He was horrible.
1974. Yes, at the Cow Palace in SF right AFTER Rick Wakefield quit for the first time.

Roberta Flack-mid '70s. she sang no more than 8 songs and was done-really cheated the audience out of a good concert.
a few years ago, my best friend and I went to see Toni Braxton-she was fine, but the second half of the concert (and the one most of the audience wanted to see) was Kenny G-there is nothing worse than listening to that stuff, and because we were in a group that took a bus, we couldn't fully escape-ick!

Vonda Shepard.
What was I thinking?
A close second is Kiss. Maybe I was too drunk, but their show was just rediculous.

Did he get all political then too?
Yea. And he was very low key. Almost put me to sleep. I was thinking....... This must be what a Perry Como concert is like.

Oh man - David Lee Roth. I saw him several years ago with Bad Company. Bad Company was great, Roth can't hit the notes on his Van Halen songs anymore.

Power Station at Pine Knob.... Duran Duran they were not.
Third Eye Blind at the Cherry Fest in Traverse City. They insulted the crowd and got booed and all sorts of mean gestures. I have never in my life seen 2000 people get up and walk out of the middle of a show. Moral of the story. Don't insult the good folks from NWMI. They are a proud bunch. So as the show was bad. It was so great to see so many people turned there backs on a band I did not like to begin with.
Wierd Al at the Jackson County Fair In Jackson MI. Need I say more then Wierd Al? Do not recall the year. It was the Like a Surgon tour.
Metallica , Guns and Roses, with Faith No More. Metallica had sold out at this point , Axl had turned into a cry baby and left the stage every show, and Faith No More? Actaully we got lucky. As Axl and G&R had a rep for leaving the stage early, this time when Axl left the rest of the band stayed on and did an improve jam session for thirty minutes till Mr. Premadonna came back out. The little jam session was the best part of the show.

Diamond Dave. Wow. Saw him on the Yankee Rose tour and more recently at Universals Mardi Grass two years ago. I have to say there is a huge difference to seeing him stroke a bottle of Jack and spray it all over a girl in the front row when he was in his young Van Halen days as opposed to his 50 something trying to hold on days now. Seeing him do that same stunt now just does not seem right.
