Well, the posts have dredged up some more repressed concert memories.

I mentioned Joan Jett being a bad concert, but...

Saw Steve Wariner at the American Royal in Kansas City in the late 90's. No personality, no energy. Sang a medley of his "greatest hits."

Pretty tough to do when you don't have any. :-?

Was more of a medley of songs that probably would have been anybody elses's unreleased, forgotten album material. Not sure if he even finished the set - from the rate people were leaving, unless it was a VERY short set, he'd have ended up playing to an empty arena.

Dang.... would rather have left that one safely forgotten.

Glad the concerts you saw were good. Maybe I just caught her at a very low point in her career. I really do like some of her stuff - the only thing that made it such a bad concert experience was that she was playing a truly sad venue. (Middle of a the midway at a county fair on a temporary stage.)

I kind of felt sorry for her, having been on top, but (when I saw her) having fallen so far.

I'll have to catch her again sometime - may be a much better show. :)

Wow, I didn't know that was on the banned list either. I can think of a lot more descriptions that are much worse, that's for sure.

OMG! I tried to type les b ian the other day and it was nixed too.

I think because of the SPAM problem about a month ago and someone was soliciting a Web site for hot lesbo action (tee hee lesbo still works).

And just for the record, I think chicks-of-the-rainbow are very, very cool.

Wow that surprises me about Vince. I saw him at a small venue - it was actually a bar in Dallas in 92 or 93 but it held around 2000 people. It was a great show. Sorry you had such a bad experience with your show.

If I ever have a chance to catch Vince Gill again, I probably would. I enjoy some of his stuff and he seems like a good guy. It would be worth another shot.

Ok so I have seen a lot of bad shows posted here but I think this one will be up near the top. Back when I was married, to get to shows I wanted to see I had to go to a couple my ex wanted to see. so saying that the worst all time show I have seen is.......

Kenny G and Michael Bolton!!!!!!!!

I still to this day dry heave just thinking about it.

Second worst was The Steve Miller Band back in the late 70's. He was sooooooooo wrecked he forgot the words to his own songs not once, not twice but three different time. The audience ended up singing it for him just so he could get thru the song.

So... you went to this one for your ex (or soon-to-be-ex)????

I mean come on, that's three hours of your life you just can't get back.

Ah... now I understand the song she did titled "Androgeny." (I kid you not. )

Thinking back more about the show, though, she did ROCK for about four songs at the end (I Love Rock and Roll, Crimson and Clover, I Hate Myself For Loving You, etc.)

Wonder if she'll ever again bring out a single that returns to her hard-rock roots?

Well that was the price so I could go to Rush,Bruce Hornsby and one other show I don't remember. The one funny thing that happened that night was guy walking in the the men's room yelling "any guy that does not get laid tonight for sitting thru this should be shot"!

My revenge was she HATED Rush!!!!!!

Another bad concert for me was the one that never happened.
Me and some friends went to see the Wutang Clan in Jacksonville back in 96 when I was still into hip hop.
After a couple of local acts performed quick and boring sets, the Wutang Clan never came out.
After a long while they announced that the show was cancelled and the crowd proceeded to go wild. People were jumping up on the stage, breaking instruments, which in this case were turntables, mixers, and speakers.
Lots of people were getting arrested and busting the windows out of police cars outside. Also got to see a few people get the crap beat out of them by the police, deservedly so.
This was the last straw in my failed hip hop career and shorlty after I disassociated myself from the mostly negative hip hop crowd.
A few years later I discovered Buffett, put down the turntables and picked up the guitar!!!!!!!!!
