when your suv is on the side of the road out of gas, the fuel thrifty civic will pass you and wave, then you refuel and run it off the road again

seriously, congrats on your purchase. My wife has a 2000 accord and only has had one problem with in 5 years of ownership. It just hit 60k and it won't get broken in until she its 100k. The gas mileage on it still averages about 35 to 38 overall. If my 6ft 2 frame could fit into one of those without breaking my legs I would buy one tomorrow.

HAHAHAHAHA - Trust me I know that all to well...! Yesterday on the highway I was driving like I was still in my SUV, couldn't figure out why people weren't getting out of my way and then I remembered I was in a little car again...

Thanks my dear!! I wanted an accord but financially the civic was more in my range... I also was going to buy a used one but got a better deal with a new one! Everyone I know that has a Honda loves them and has very little problems with them... (watch, I'll be the exception!)... I'm looking forward to the savings I'll be making in gas alone.. I figured out the other day with my Blazer I was putting in at least $15 dollars a day to get to and from work.. times that by 5 and then 4 for the month and I was doing over $300 a month in gas alone! My car payment is well under that amount so that'll be a nice little savings... ALTHOUGH now my insurance is going to go up... What do you want to bet I stick to my normal routine and end up at the gas station tomorrow morning...hahahaha

I have a 98 Accord and have never done anything other than routine maintenace on it...Never. Has 72,000 miles now...

When my daughter started driving..I got her a Civic and she still has it 4 yrs later...

This is my 3rd Honda and I love them!

You probably will, when I went from my pickup back to a car 2 years ago I did it. I was used to getting 15 to 20 mpg on my truck and then when i got the car it went up to around 30. I had to stop myself from going to the gas station every 2 days. The good thing about your car is it will maintain its resale value, when my car is paid off it will only be worth 2 bucks. My wifes accord at 5 years old is still worth more than my 2 year old car with very low mileage. Take the extra gas money you save and take a vacation.

Hey, how'd you and Jeff do with Cincy tickets?

It did not go well. I'm trying to find myself a ticket and Jeff's mom still needs one. I've made a few calls, but I haven't ever had that many issues getting them.

Congratulations! I work at a car dealership on weekends and the temptation to get a new car is getting almost overwhelming. At least someone out there is getting a new toy for the road!
