So...i downloaded "Please come to Boston" by Mr. Buffett...but hes also singing with someone else...I think it might be david allen coe...but im not sure...has anyone else heard it? and if so...do ya know who Jimmy's singing with?

I've heard Jimmy's live version of the song.
If anybody sings it with Jimmy my guess is that it would be Mac.
David Allan Coe has a version of the song on his greatist hits.
I'm positive that Jimmy and DAC do not have a callabo of the song.

Okay, be honest..... How many of you opened this wondering how someone could be asking Jimmy to come to Boston when he's already playing GW, 40 minutes down the road.....

If at the begining of the song he says somthing to the effect of that he's never played the song before and at the end he says "that will be up on the internet, won't it" it was recorded at Great Woods on Sept 2, 2000. So it would be Mac singing with him. As far as I know it may be the only time he has ever done it.

but didn't Mac sit out at least part of the 2000 tour? so might it have been someone else singing it with Jimmy? I've never heard Jimmy sing PCTB live, but I'd love to some day.

COBO has it in there download section. I was at the show as well, it was pretty kewl hearing it.
