I think a person has to get careful about sleeveless and cleavage at some point, too . . .

Hell, wear what you want, but be sure there is someone looking and either envying or criticizing!

I think if a female is going sleeveless - they should shave under their arms first!
Did anyone see that girl on Survivor Palau????

I rarely do sleeveless... the women in my family, even my skinny sister, have BIG upper arms..... but I have one tank dress that I like, so when I wear it I just try not to give a crap about what small-minded people are thinking..... (I mean, it's not like I have a bikini on..... *shudder*)

Nope, but there were plenty of European women at our resort in the D.R. last week who did not shave or wax anywhere it seems!

I know it's just conditioning, because I've grown up in the States, shaving, but I just find it kinda gross...... :o :o

Just for fun, tell me some clothing that reminds you of how your grandparents dressed.

For me, it's the khaki, zippered windbreaker that my Granddad wore in all seasons but winter . . .

My Nana always wore a headscarf out in public even if it wasn't windy or raining.

My sister in law sent me a picture of my brother the other day - I looked at it closely - called my sister, got her to take a look at it on her emails - and we realised that he has totally shaven/waxed his legs - left mine to shame!

Yes, it's a totally culturally-based norm. We Canadians like to be smooth, too! :P

someone once asked me why Thomas Magnum (as played by Tom Selleck) tucked in his aloha shirts, when he lived in Hawaii and should certainly know better. well, now, that's just SO simple.... how else are we going to see his butt? :o 8) :wench:

and, btw, I was quickly and sharply corrected by my Hawaiian friends..... it's not a Hawaiian shirt..... it's an Aloha shirt..... I know, I know, we all call them Hawaiian shirts, but apparently that's a misnomer....

My other Grandma, who was born in 1899, only took her apron (and I think she had a hundred of 'em!!) off for church, weddings and funerals!
