Hi Phansheridan,
What to do, oh, what to do....
Well, this my be of some help as far as activities on a Sunday night....virtually dead at the bars in Toronto on a Sunday night...Do you wanna stay in doors on a nice summer day....or be on a ship cruisin' the inner harbour and Toronto island lagoons, listening to Jimmy Buffett tunes and tossing back some cool bevies???

We hope to see ya Phansheridan...at last count we even had people coming in from Hawaii for two things, Bubba's show and the boat cruise!!

Take care

Toronto Info, Party Boat

Post by kevbeaux »

People are asking about Toronto and hotels, the venue, etc. It's close to downtown, which has hotels (The Holiday Inn on King might have the best value). Great bars and patios. Just go to www.pubclub.com/toronto/pubclub.htm; this has all the info. There's also a Party Boat on Sunday. Yes, Boat Drinks! PubClub.com has info and a link to a page with how to purchase tickets($50).

There will be tailgating. Molson Ampitheater is on the water by a large park. It's too long to walk (lugging cocktails, anyway) from downtown but a 5-minute cab ride or the TTC (public transporation) will get you there.

PubClub is also considering a PARTY BUS, so let us know if you are interested. Send an e-mail to: PartyBus@pubclub.com

Phins UP!!!

We can't wait either. I am ready to leave now. I feel like a kid the night before Christmas :D

We are arriving at the Valhalla Saturday afternoon, then the Boat bash on Sunday and then the tailgate and concert on Monday 8)

And every other venue talks about the tailgate and concert, say about 8 hours of fun (and it is!), but Toronto is putting together 4 days of partying. Jimmy has got to keeping coming back to Toronto until he retires. I can't belive he has skipped you guys for nine years :o

I am going to need auto-pilot on Tuesday to get home :pirate:

Glad to see the Bostonians and fellow Bluenosers will be going.

We are staying at the Valhalla too.

We did the roadtrip trip from Nova Scotia to Fenway last Sept. took the kids and my parents. Three generations at a Buffett concerts...what a blast.

We just moved back home to Nova Scotia from New England last summer and we didn't expect to be seeing Jimmy this year. But now we are...

I do want to get back to Great Woods. The tailgating is worth the trip.

Me again - I just totalled up the pre-sold tickets for the pre-concert "tailgate" and there will be at least 350 Parrotheads at this gig, getting in the mood for Bubba! Not to worry tho it's a really big area in a private part of Ontario Place near the water with a sand beach, a grassed area and a bunch of huge tents with seating underneath in case it rains  Besides the awesome live Buffett cover band "Northern Harbour" there will be a guest appearance by the venerable Canadian rocker Rompin' Ronnie Hawkins with a STRONG possibility that he will be joined by his long time friend Mr. MIKE UTLEY from the Coral Reefer Band! (It depends on how long the sound check will be, whether he can make it or not. Our phins are SOOO crossed!)

The CAD $10 admission includes a burger plus the live music. There will be a cash bar with beer and other beverages for sale. It is co-sponsored by Corona who are supplying a bunch of neeto stuff for raffle and there will also be Toronto Maple Reefers club swag for sale including a shirt that we are making up just for this concert (if there are any left after our Saturday and Sunday phestivities). The party will last from 3pm until 7pm at which point we will conga over to the concert which is just across the way.

Man we are so pumped! It's gonna be one crazy party! :D :o   8) Linda

PS We can't take any more pre-paid orders at this point so just come by and you can pay at the entrance. Look for South Beach inside the Ontario Place grounds.....

Hi Phansheridan,

Tickets will be available at the keating Pub on Sunday for the boat cruise, and hot chicks will abound!!! Just heard that some young ladies who competed in the Miss Molson Indy contest last night are coming aboard for their first Parrot Head experience...they have never seen a Buffett show before and are looking forward to an introduction to what a Parrothead is and this cruise should be the perfect venue...we'll see ya on board the Empress of Canada.

Are you really gonna have Ronnie Hawkins? He's one of my musical heroes, and one of the few I've seen up close & personal. Sure wish I could be there, but not this time, eh!

I believe Ronnie and Mike Utley are old friends. I don't know if there is any other connection.

Ronnie is pretty much fer sher. He has appeared at another function the Maple Reefers had before. Mr. Utley's appearance will depend on the sound check as I said above. Here's hopin!
