I had originally decided to skip Toronto due to the Wrigley concerts. I figured i would just do both of those cuz they were so expensive and relatively close to me, but I cant wait until September, so Toronto here I come. Do any of you know about two extra lawn seats floating around anywhere. I am trying to find somebody to come with me which may be tough on a Monday night. If any of you come across extra tickets anywhere, please let me know!

Tickets and tailgate

Check out the Toronto Parrothead Club's bulletin board for tickets. There are some available there.

Also, Ontario law prohibits tailgating. If there is any it will be crummy and sporadic, nothing compared to places like Great Woods or Pine Knob...even Ohio.

The TMRPHC and Corona are hosting a tailgate inside the amusement park where the concert is (Ontario Place.) Burgers and beer and a band or two. Starts at 3pm. There are several weekend parties beforehand, too.

Tailgate

Well, your $10 entry fee gets you the souvenir lanyard, some raffle tickets or one, and a cheeseburger. Beer will be costly...but it's in Canadian dollars - so who cares, eh? I'd say $5 ish, so $4 bucks ish to you. Once inside, beer will be outrageous just like Great Woods, Riverbend, or Star Lake...

But, you really have no choice...even some of our club executive are Toronto cops, and they have said, "uh uh - no go"...

We'll have a good Buffett cover band, some Corona stuff, lot's of people...t-shirts, prizes...so what the hey.

When are you arriving? We have a Karaoke party happening Sunday night at the Valhalla hotel - Peter Mayer will also be playing in Oakville at a local church there, we hear. It's about 1/2 an hour or less from the Valhalla - easy trip. Check out his website at www.petermayer.com, or the Hamilton PHC might have some info for you for confirmation. Then come to the karaoke afterward...

We'll keep you busy.

We are holding our "Salty Piece of Toronto" party, with Northern Harbour (great Buffett tribute band), Saturday night at the Keating Channel Pub. The gang from Hamilton are coming, and many out-of-towners. There is a $15 CDN fee, to pay for the band, etc., and excess goes to the Toronto Children's Breakfast Club (provides before-school breakfast for disadvantaged kids).

We are also raffling off a denim jacket embroidered with the TMRPHC logo drawing that night. Lot's of other prizes etc.

You should check it out.

email me at PirateAt40ish@gmail.com and I can give you more details.

lanyards

Derek will make you a personalized lanyard tag if you prepay any of the events. We're using PayPal to take payments which works if you have a PayPal acct or if you use a credit card - either way. You print out your PayPal receipt, present it to us at any of the par-tays and we will have the lanyard waiting for you.

We just send the invoice in Canadian dollars, you pay the invoice and PayPal adjusts it to USD automatically. Currently, $1 CAD = about $0.80 USD so if we invoice you for $10 CAD you would only pay about $8 USD after the automatic conversion. Okies? :D

You can go to the web site http://www.maplereefers.ca or just email me directly - I'm the one in charge of collecting the dough! :wench:

less than 2 weeks to go !
I've waited 9 years for this concert.

Lets hope the coming OPSEU strike doesn't close Ontario Place!

Basically, Ontario Place is a Provincial park (think State park). The Provincial civil servants are entering in to a possible strike shortly...Molson Amphatheatre is a part of the park. The civil servants are still at the bargining table with a media blackout imposed, so we may squeek this one in !

OPSEU had information pickets at Ontario Place on Memorial Day weekend (Victoria Day up here)...

Hi Phansheridan,

the bar isn't an open one on the boatbash, but the ticket includes...the cruise, Cheesburgers and light buffet, the hottest Jimmy tribute band in NA, and tons of SWAG and Phun...cheap at twice the price...the tickets are best purchased in advance for $50 Canadian (about $40 US?), as they are selling well and they are $60 Canadian at the door on the day of the cruise...if there any left.
