Well said.....not everyone has connections.
He got tix for 1 show that way. That means he got the other 6 the hard way.
I'm completely convinced if you know what you're doing, and are willing to plan well and put forth the effort, anyone can get tickets. Our group hasn't been shut out yet - in fact, we usually wind up with a few to get rid of.

Have I mentioned lately how cool you are Frankie? **smoochies**
The past two years I have bought tickets off the Ticket Exchange for either face value or just above face value (paid an xtra 10 a ticket for Jones Beach last year, no big deal) so I would feel bad selling them on EBAY after being helped two years in a row.
I've purchased from scalpers when I couldn't get tickets from Ticketmaster, but I have never sold tickets for above face value. I've often sold below face value the day of the show. I believe selling to a fellow fan for no higher than face value brings good karma for getting tickets the next time.
I agree on the karma. The few times we've ended up with extras, we sold for face value + TM fees + postage.
I had to post in the ticket exchange this year. (Even with 2 high speed lines, 2 dial-ups and 3 phones, we still got shut out! ) So far I've had 3 people email me to sell me tickets. Unfortunately all 3 are scalpers. The "best" deal I've been offered so far is $183 mark-up per ticket. Hopefully my karma is gonna pay off soon!

I'm not necessarily against the e-bay thing, but I've been very fortunate because of the kindness of others regarding tickets and I'd want to do the same.
