My husband spends A LOT more time on Buffett News (and other web sites) than he does with me or with our children, (but especially with me). I've tried talking to him about this but fail miserably.
I'll be the contrarian here. Did anybody think maybe the wife drove him to spending all that time on the computer? It's isn't always the guy's fault.

Sorry guys, my future wife hoped in a DeLorean and made an attempt to nip the “problem” in the bud.

Why did I invent that time machine in the future?

"talking" is usually a euphemism for "screeching like bean sidhe about every inadequacy, real or imagined until the guy passes out from sleep deprivation".

Sorry, I had forgotten that. I love dating mutes.

the fact that the two of you were using cell phones to talk to each other while walking down Duval St. together gave me a hint. :D

Some people claim that there's a woman to blame, but I know it's my own damn fault.

Yes, it is. 8)

Marriage isn't easy. In MOST cases, it's not one person or the other to make it work, or make it fail.

Yes, I would say he should find a little more time to spend with you. But, on the other hand, you should try to learn about the things that makes him happy. You can both share it together.

BN is more than just a website, IMHO. It's full of good people and the most amazing place to meet new friends - some of the best friends I have ever had. And, in my case, to find love. 8)
Penny, I couldn't have said it better myself. Especially the last part of what you said!
To Jolena...

I'm on top of the world, lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
You're love's put me at the top of the world

It may be time to consider bringin' another woman into the picture... Not sure how good it'll be for the long term of the marriage, but I'll venture to guess that it'll get his ass of the computer.

D_H and I are both good people and we both love each other. We both lead busy lives, and we simply haven't made enough quality time for each other. She posted here to get my attention, and it worked. We had a great weekend together, though we had to postpone our date night without the kids.

There was some good feedback from some great people here, and I appreciate that. That's what I like about this place, and I'm glad my wife got to experience it firsthand.

Unfortunately there are also some not-so-greats, and she had to witness that too. If your advice is to have an affair or get a divorce at any sign of trouble in a marriage, you should probably never get married in the first place.

Gotta take the good with the bad. And first sign? did anyone know this was the first, or just the latest in a long line of signs of impending disaster?

without knowing the whole story, the snapshot seemed a bit less than full-colour.
