If she had mentioned flirting, I would have bet money it was Mrs Bear.

Duuuude....

I've been meaning to tell you that all that one-way flirting you are doing with me was going to torque Mrs. Bear off...

:o OH, MAN !!!! I don't get on here in two days and see what cool posts happen?
My hubby complains about my being on the computer, but here's the difference: he works outside the home and I don't, therefore, I am on this thing while he's at work and when he is home I can do stuff with him. I limit myself to being on the computer to two hours a day at the most, unless I'm working on vacation plans (airfare, hotel, etc.) or something like that. If I worked outside the home, I'd have to limit my computer time more. Maybe if your husband cuts his time online in half? This web site IS obsessive, though....so many funny people, interesting topics (I get a lot of news on here before it's on the 5 o'clock news), and well, of course.....actual BUFFETT NEWS!!!!

OBSESSIVE_HUSBAND wrote:D_H and I are both good people and we both love each other. We both lead busy lives, and we simply haven't made enough quality time for each other. She posted here to get my attention, and it worked. We had a great weekend together, though we had to postpone our date night without the kids.

There was some good feedback from some great people here, and I appreciate that. That's what I like about this place, and I'm glad my wife got to experience it firsthand.

Unfortunately there are also some not-so-greats, and she had to witness that too. If your advice is to have an affair or get a divorce at any sign of trouble in a marriage, you should probably never get married in the first place.
I agree that there has been some great feedback from some great pholks in here, and I appreciate that. I hope I can find the time to reply to many of you. O_H and I have have met some very nice people at JB concerts and parties and we plan to hook up with them again this Summer. Hopefully, they will become great friends.

We did have a great weekend. He still gets on the computer for several hours every night, but at least we are talking more now. I know BN is not the problem, there is definitely a "bigger problem." The challenge is to talk and work through it and not to ignore it and ignore each other. We do alot of things together actually, but just because you are together at the same place doesn't always mean that you are "together". Somehow a long the way we lost our connection with one another. No, this is not the first sign of trouble - there has been trouble for almost four years, but I am not willing to give up and get a divorce, or an affair, or another woman to join, etc. We are in this for the long haul and we both seem to want to do what is best for the long term of the marriage. O_H is an awesome person. I am by no means putting on the blame on him. He goes out of his way for so many people (even strangers), I just want him to occasionally do the same for me. Have to go for now.

I think it is great that you both took the attitude to work on things. When there is true love involved, it is always worth working out....In my experience, I was in a relationship where there was never passionate love so it was much easier to walk away and know we were doing the right thing...At this point in my life, knowing that I now have true love, if Eric and I ever got into trouble, I could never imagine giving up or resorting to "the other suggestions"....Just always remember that in the end TRUE love will prevail and it does take work....glad the both of you have realized this, talked about it, and even found posting anonymously a way to break the tension....

Best wishes!

Good luck. It's tough. Those middle years of a marriage when you are raising kids, building careers, stressing about bills, etc. just drain you of alot of the joy in your life. You really need to find a way to put back the fun. If you do it will be a twofold benefit, you won't mind his time on the pc and he'll spend less time on it.
If you haven't already done so, definitely get some counseling. Just select your counselor with care.

Maybe he could read the BN threads aloud, and you both can see if they sound as entertaining as they sometimes read! Then you can either make fun of the people who posted them, or talk about how cool they are and how you'd like to party with them!

After reading what I just wrote, I think I know which you'll be doing about me!

And just keep in mind, recognizing the problem is the first step to correcting it. It is great to see that you both intend to work it out.
