Cool cars to drive to the beach

Post by flipflops »

Thinking about getting a fun car, especially one to cruise in near and to the beach. Any suggestions?

Ok, the top pick would be a convertible.

Second choice would be a...um...convertible.

Then possibly a convertible would work.

Last but not least, don't forget the ever-popular and fun...CONVERTIBLE!!!!

I had a jeep wrangler and miss it. I would second jeepgirls choice. Not only can you drive it to the beach you can drive it on the beach.

Ain't that the truth! I think I will have a Jeep no matter what! They're great touring around the vineyards too.

By now its determined that it must be a convertible..... or topless of some fashion... if you are looking for classic fun the early 70s mustangs are da bomb! Just not much room for all the beach stuff ya got to tote along.... depending on your load... a jeep might just be perfect!

but in all honesty Jeep's are a bit of a money pit, especially the older ones. I sold mine because I'll have 3 kids in college in the fall and I don't like taking the wrangler for long rides like I"ll be doing dealing with all the kids in various colleges. But I still have a cherokee and will get another wrangler as soon as all the kids have cars on campus. Hubby who did not want the wrangler whines alot about how much he misses it. Wait til it gets a bit warmer.

Right on the top of my list, but I though maybe a cool, classic, convertible would be nice as well. Nice Jeep pic!

An old skool Toyota 4Runner like one of these.

It's a convertible, 4X4, and has Toyota reliability.

BIB - those are so cool. If I could find one at a reasonable price I'd grab one.

Yeah, they're hard to find in good condition also. The last year of this body style was 1989. I used to have an 87 that I wish I had kept.

I had a cool 87 Wagoneer that I wish I had kept. It was in perfect condition but the tranny bit the dust. Now I see what one like that costs and the tranny would have been worth it.
