Where do you find yourself spending too much time?

Post by iuparrothead »

I just realized that I spend an excessive amount of time in elevators. Living, working & going to school in downtown Chicago causes me to have to travel up & down a lot. It annoys me a bit because people, in general, have very poor elevator courtesy.

I used to think I spent an excessive amount of time on public transportation. Now I don't use it.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

my car. . .

I have about a 45 ride to get to my work . .with traffic, it can be longer. . .

I live by the water, but work by the airport, and no I would not dream of moving one block closer. . .I have paradise when I do pull into the driveway. . .

another good thing, my drive takes me across the " Howard Frankenstein " which is a bridge over Tampa Bay that's about 6-7 miles long. . .

being stuck over the beautiful water isn't all that bad. . .

:D

Car time. 45 to 47 miles depending on the path I take. However it can be entertaining, as I take primarily rural back roads. This morning I saw in approximate order, a bald eagle, a flock of 15 wild turkeys, a pair of deer, an owl sitting on a road sign, a lone deer off in the distance, ducks and geese to numerous to count and what appeared to be a coyote running across a field.

don't you hate the people that stand at the door and don't bother to move when the elevator stops at a floor that's not theirs. I mean what do they expect you to do - hurdle over them?? And then when you say excuse me or out please they look shocked like "who me was I blocking your way" DUH IDIOT YOU'RE STANDING IN FRONT OF THE FREAKING DOOR

oh.....I'm so glad I don't work in downtown Dallas anymore

Anyone ever rip one in an elevator and look around with a puzzled look on your face?

same thing on the subway. Let people off the train before you try to get on the train... it's not that hard people but you'd be amazed how many can't follow this simple concept.

I have a cube ... well kind of .. but I am never in it ..... so to change mine - as for spending too much time at work - I spend too much time in my "diary room" as my staff call it - talking to the naughty people :-?
