The big new thing is alcohol without liquid, or AWOL for short. A shot of liquor is mixed with oxygen and inhaled.

Lawmakers from Arizona to Maine don't like the idea.

Florida is among 16 states considering AWOL bans. Congress is getting into the action as well.

The maker of AWOL machines describes them as the ultimate party toy.

Drinkers boast about hangover-free drinking and the diet benefit of alcohol without mixers.

Critics say there's no scientific evidence to support the claims and worry about supercharged drinking.

Does it matter what kind of booze you use? Can you do a mixed drink that way, or just shots??????? Inquiring minds wanna know!

There was an oxygen bar upstairs at the Oak Beach Inn on Duval Street in Key West.

A clean liquor works best... It has to be aerosolized into little tiny particles so stuff with too much junk in it wouldn't work (i don't think). And anything carbonated (ie - Rum & coke) would be an absolute disaster.... I use vodka and it works nicely.

This might sound like a dumb question, but how do you get the oxygen tank to do it with?

Good lord. Why? Liquor tastes good. Breathing liquor? Why? I guess that would be better than putting liquor in a stomach of a person with ulcers, whatever. This doesn't interest me, but when they come up with a way to breathe chocolate, lemme know immediately!

Remember the DUCO cement and a bag fad? Kinda right up there...'cept I guess not as toxic. Think I will pass anyway!

I work at a clinic, and just figured they might notice if I tried to sneak an oxygen tank out in my pocket.
