What's up Wayne?
To Jolena...

I'm on top of the world, lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
You're love's put me at the top of the world

Unlisted/unpublished don't show in the reverse directories, for what that tidbit is worth.

You could have that phone number blocked by the phone company, but they will charge you for it............. It happened to us once..... It sounds like you are on an automated dial up that just does not quit.......... :-?

Umm Hi Wayne...Mallory here---from your local telephone company (I'm assuming since you're in Idaho that you have Qwest). Yes, there's something they can do to block the number. I'll send you a PM w/ my phone number and I'll see if I can't help you figure this out. It's totally not my realm, but I had to have this done with someone's number before, and I don't remember it being terribly difficult or costing anything...but it might dependon the types of services you have.

One thing you can do immediately to fix it is change your home # to ring right to your voice mail (if you subscribe to voice messaging). That's relatively easy to do.

I used to have an obscene caller call me every morning at 2:30 am. I tried everything - talking dirty back, reciting The Lord's Prayer. A blast with an airhorn did rather nicely.

When we first got our phone in 1992, every stinking night we got a phone call at about 3am "Yo, is Rashanna there"

After about a month of this one time when I had a few, I answered the phone and said, "She can't come to the phone right now, she is giving me a blow job"

Never got another call, although my arm still hurts from where Mrs Bear clobbered me. And then she made us sleep in the basement for a week in case of drive by shootings (or Truckers)
"Boat drinks, waitress we........nevermind"

Try this
http://fonefinder.net/

put in the area code and the first 3 numbers and it will tell you what phone service and city it is coming from. Then you could contact the company direct.

This is a great site, i use it allthe time when I don't know a number.

I used to work shift work and every morning when I just got to sleep someone would call and for a woman I forget her name ...I was nice and polite the first few times and after a wek and a half neing woke up I said she isn't here .. she is in Atlanta.... they asked what she was doing in Atlanta." I said I'm sorry. You haven't heard? I don't think I should tell you but.... she has something nasty and communicable and they sent her to the CDC. If you have been incontact with her they want to talk with you immediately and probably put you in isolation and quaratine and do all kinds of blood work. They hung up.

They never called back.

Tried the BJ on the various marketing callers said coulf they call back in about 5 minutes or so..
Another thing with telemarketers is tell them to hold on the person is in the bathroom or will be right back and lay the phone down and go off and leave it.
You can go to the FTC.com and get telemarketing calls blocked. You can also call them on the phone but you must call from the phone number you want to place the block on.

Another time after repeated obscene phone calls...I answered "OH MY GOD NOOOOO..PLEASE DON"T!!!"....I lit a firecracker ( one of those little ladyfingers held it close to the phone and away from my face... DO NOT HOLD IT TIGHT!!! DO NOT USE ANY FIRECRACKER THAT IS BIGGER than it and I DO NOT RECCOMMEND FOR ANYONE TO TRY IT! you can loose a finger or more at worse and only suffer burns at best) it went off . I screamed "SHE SHOT ME! SHE REALLLY SHOT ME! YOU F@@KING @##$$! I am bleeding!" and dropped the phone and waited a few seconds then hung up.
Never bothered me again.

I have used the airhorn a few times times. I agree it works wonders too!

George Carlin did a show on HBO years ago about wrong numbers... someguy kept calling up interupting and he was nice and polite and he finally asked who was calling for her ... the guy said Arnold.... he said Arnold I am sorry she is not here..... the guy called back and asked for her again.
This time GC's response was "She is here, I am sorry, ,no you can't speak with her,...she is dead , there is a mule wearing a condom and the police are here asking for some guy named Arnold.." or something like that. Then a loud CLIK!

There is joke that is going around the internet I will have to find about wrong numbers.
Seems a guy transposed the last two digits and got a wrong number. The guy that answered the phone was very rude and called him a bleep. He figured out what happened and got the guys phone number and put it to use. Then someone, has a car for sale and a number in the back window
and cut our hero off in a parking lot and it goes from there!

If I can find it again I will post it.

I know you can't get through to do any of these at that number.
Perhaps someone uses the number for a computer dial up line and goes off line long enough to harrass you then goes back on line before you can call them back?
Food for thought perhaps.. the phone company can trace any call in or out from your phone.. but it seems someone is already helping you with that for free.
All the best to you with the situation.
Roll with the punches, play all of your hunches...come what may...
