Jimmy At Work
My restaurant uses a DMX subscription service for our music. Most of it is chosen by our company but my store is the only one serving breakfast. That allows us some freedom in the morning to play different channels. The last few days, I have been stopped speechless at work as one channel as churned out about 5 JB songs an hour including all of LTC, In the Shelter, Public Relations, High Cumberland Jubilee, Lage Nom Ai, Creola, Don't Chu Know, Holiday, etc. There's no pattern or order to it. Not a single song has repeated in four days and every song has been like the ones above. No "hits".
Opening the store for breakfast used to drive me insane since nobody should be up and eating at 7am. However, the plethora of rare JB popping up has made the early hours awesome!!!!

I use to do the restaraunt management scene before teaching, I hear ya. We had one Music Video Distributor who would sneak a JB video on a few of the tapes. I longed to hear it each and every day. The Bubba Gump in Monterey Ca is one of our favorite stops. The bar staff are all a bunch of Student Teachers studying at University of Monterey. They take great care of us. 3/4 lbs of the peel and eat 1/2 garlic 1/2 cajun. My part time job is working security for concerts in my area. I work in front of the stage. As such, I had a plethora of live Buffett music at work. I have done his shows for years and remember the Irvine Meadows shows warmly. The crowds down front are usually in a pretty good mood and his shows are fun to work. Not like Smashmouth or Megadeath, (not that there's anything wrong with Smashmouth or Megadeath).
We gotta go where it's warm - Punta Margarita.
