I sent my sons to an abandoned campground with their cousins to play paintball. But it was right next to a golf course. They were having a blast. Then they heard sirens (they were like 11yo) A police officer called over his mike, put down the guns boys right now or we'll shoot. The golf people called reporting gunfire. Scared the boys to death. Cops thought it was the real thing.

Did you ever hear a painball gun? Those had to the be dumbest cops on Earth. I'd say dumb golfers, but that's redundant

Yep it was pretty stupid. But my sons have also been taken to the police station for skateboarding not in a park.

Skateboarding? Paintball at an abandoned campground? Why they ought to lock these menaces to society away for good.

Lots of them. But after walking to school...10 miles...shoeless...through 6 feet of snow...uphill...both ways I was too tired to go anywhere other than the closest place.

I once had a job that I would ride my bike downhill both ways to.

(Ski resort) I would ride to one lift, take my bike to the top and work ride another lift down that was uphill from my pad.....Ok the bar.

Ride home....er to the bar.

My oldest sister once stood my little sister up on the back of the couch and threw darts at her as if she were a knife thrower from the carnival! My mother walked in before it was "too late". Needless to say, the big sister had to go out in the yard and pick her own switch off the tree!!

Klackers? They were pretty dangerous! Mine had crystaled balls
Mine were lime green with glitter inside...loved those things. I actually found a pair several years ago, cheap imitations compared to the ones we had, but my friend and I had a great time at work playing with them.

Well, when you're stuck out in the county where there's not so much as a "city" light for miles, you hafta' be innovative, ok?

Some other really fun things we did....

home-made water slide---- plastic tarps and a water hose(yeah, we were too poor for the "store-bought" ones!)

cardboard boxes used as sleighs--in the summertime we would go out in the pasture and slide down the hills.

cow tipping....ok now I'm starting to sound a little too red!
