2nd Set is Jimmy's Best This Year

Post by TheSecretsInTheCrust »

I feel that the second set is Jimmy's best this year. It follows the basic flow of the book ASPOL as well as Jimmy's songs can do so (minus the encore songs) and even they can be incorporated...with a bit if a stretch. The only change for me would be adding the song A Salty Piece Of Land as the closing song and putting APLA40 in the first set rather than the closing song. Here in the Vegas set list and my interpretation to where they fit in

La Vie Dansante (Tully Mars song)
Lighthouse (Basic Theme of the Book)
Banana Republics (Location Of The Book #1 - Caribbean)
Southern Cross (Cleopatra's Song)
School Boy Heart (Ix-Nay's Song)
Hey Good Lookin' (Dawn, Noel-Christmas, Donna Kaye's song)
Last Mango In Paris (Location Of The Book #2 - Key West)
Five O'Clock Somewhere (Party in Belize song)
One Particular Harbour (Willie Singer's Song)
Margaritaville (Happy Ending song)

First Encore:
25 Fins
26 Scarlet Begonias

Second Encore:
27 A Pirate Looks At Forty

Now is he could play A Salty Piece of Land as his final song....with the video playing that he has....WOW. Thanks Jimmy for a great set!

I guess that shows u can turn Jimmy's songs into any theme..lol. As I have stated on this site many times I hated the book so I would find another themee...but thats what makes Jimmy great...to each his own!

I don't hate it but I definately find it not so easy to put your head around it. I think I can read a book by Kinky Friedman easier that this latest by Jimmy!
