When I listen to Paul Simon he reminds me of Jimmy Buffett. His island songs, like Diamonds on the Sole of Shoes, and I would love to hear Jimmy do Codachrome. Does anyone else feel the same?

the only song on that album that comes close to Jimmy is "That Was Your Mother", and maybe "Graceland".
Now.. "Rhythym of the Saints" has that Caribbean flavour to it..

I always thought Jimmy could do "Loves Me Like A Rock"
When I was a little boy, (when I was just a boy)
And the Devil would call my name (when I was just a boy)
I'd say "now who do,
Who do you think you're fooling?" (when I was just a boy)
I'm a consecrated boy (when I was just a boy)
I'm a singer in a Sunday choir
Oh , my mama loves, she loves me
She get down on her knees and hug me
Like she loves me like a rock
She rocks me like the rock of ages
And loves me
She love me, love me, love me, love me

If you're a Paul Simon fan, you must listen to Peter Mayer's music.

I happen to think that Paul Simon is a pretty extraordinary talent, and some of the music that he and Art Garfunkel recorded is among the best stuff done in the late 60s and 70s.

Paul Simon is awesome, but if Jimmy does anymore covers in concert we will be getting close to Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer cover band.

Paul Simon's "Take Me Down To Mardi Gras" is a great song that fits nicely with Jimmy's NOLA history. And "Late in the Evening" has a great reggae riff.
Not necessarily looking for covers, but they belong in the mix.
