another option to those driving....drive down the alleys around the ballpark - if a garage is open, that means the owners will let you park in their garage for a fee.

it's usually cheaper than what the nearby lots charge ($20-$30 just for a cubs game and easy out). trust is involved, but we've never had a problem for games. we leave the car, keep the keys and pay the homeowner about $10-$15. they can charge whatever they want, but it's close and you don't get stuck in a sea of other parked cars.

the other people directing you around for parking may not want you to park there, since they want the business, so they may yell out for you to keep going, but no worries; it's perfectly legal.

Hmmmmm... that's really interesting flamingo08. I've never heard of that, but I certainly take your word for it!

yeah, we've used that method on several occasions when all our other old reliable spots were taken and haven't had any problems. we've parked in driveways and garages of private residences, and the owners just hang out, have a beer and collect the dough. definitely a perk of living there.

I booked room at the Cass Hotel which is only a few blocks from a Red Line stop.

I got the room for 64.00 a night and its in the downtown district of Chicago!

Here is a link to the hotel http://casshotel.com/ for anyone that is looking for cheap rooms that is only an L shot away from Wrigley

Good location.
very good location in the River North. Would like to know how the rooms are, because at that price, and access to the Red Line pretty close, it is a great location. :)

Looks a little bit older style of rooms, but hey all I am going to use it for is to crash and keep my liquor!

It's a couple blocks from where I work. (See Northwestern University Chicago Campus to the east/right of the hotel on map) I really think this is a steal! If I were looking for a room, I'd go for this quick!

That is a great deal and a great location. One of my most favoratre restaurants is right down the street "Lawrys The Prime Rib" 100 E. Ontario. It is rather pricey for dinner but they do have a lunch bar where you can get a great sandwich for under $10.
