I had the need to request something from a fellow BNer, he had an extra and when I asked about where to send payment for it, he said no, he was good, didn't need it, make an extra donation to the collection plate or buy someone that needed it a burger. Well......... I thought about it for a few minutes, not long really, but, anyway, I was quite surprised by his remarks, haven't heard anything like that in a while, everyone I work with wants their due money, every penny, right away. I remember when more people were like our BNer. So.......I told him I would buy someone needy a lunch, it was something I'd thought of doing in the past, but he gave me the incentive to do it now. And I will. The whole point of this post, long as it is, is just to remind you all, and let you all know what a great bunch you are. That kind of thinking is all but gone from a lot of people's heads, it was just so refreshing to have a BNer say it. It started my day off really well this morning. Thanks.

I am sure you knew it all along..........just so long as you DO what you can .......and when you can... it helps make the World a better place and helps someone in need. That is what all us try to do and should do, though for many reasons we don't always succeed for financial or lack of trust, or other reasons.....being chiefly among them

Perhaps you just needed a little motivation to get you moving is all???

mommar, I think you will find that this is a very giving bunch of people, many of whom subscribe to the "pay it forward" philosophy. No repayment necessary, just help out when you see another person in need.

We have quite a strong network of friends here who can be counted on for a number of things, including travel advice, a place to crash, concert tickets, people to meet for drinks or dinner...and even folks who will help you out when you break your leg while on vacation.

I'd say we're a pretty lucky bunch.

I'm so glad to know that there are people like that in this world. Even gladder (if that's a word!) still that those people are here at BN. Basically, I'm just so danged proud and happy I could bust at the seams it seems.
