If I can't rag about those 10 things, then that really shuts things down. I might as well just shut up and drink my margarita. :D

Sorry if I offended anybody but these things have been the subjects of just about every new topic and I am sick of hearing them
There is a title for each thread. If it doesnt sound appealing to you then you dont need to read it, its very simple. this is a discussion board, this is the jimmy buffett topic, that is what is discussed here.

I apologize for all the idiots. There are many who think posting 55 times a day somehow gives them the right to control the place. They apparently miss the fact of how sad that is. I think I post too much and am nowhere near many of these folks. You will find a nice core of folks here...and sadly a lot of rif raf.
Kudos for having the cajones to speak your mind here. Beware (and I speak from personal experience here) but those that wish to put you in your place will go to great lengths to run you off of this site just for being an individual and standing up for yourself. Please stand your ground and don't let them push you around. I still have people try to "bait" me on a daily basis just so they can get their kicks. Whatever you do, don't give in to the temptation to reply to them, it's exactly what they want.

ok i've lurked here a little while, and now since joining, you can call me a newbie, but i've got an opinion on this and its not meant to be nasty towards anyone, so please don't take it that way:

Yes i have seen the same topic several times....the 1st time i read them they were intresting to me, and i do agree they do get boring after awhile...but think about this......the topics are being posted by newbies who are excited to talk about topics (just as much as you veterans were excited to talk about them the first time you saw the topic). So just because the topic has been discussed before by yourself, doesn't mean that someone can't start it up again......if its new to them, and they are excited to talk about it, more power to them

...now quit complaining about alpine....lol :P (just kidding)

I just want to complain about everyone complaining, after all, I'm the only one allowed to complain! Everyone else has to sit there, drink up the margaritas and listen (or ignore me, like most folks do  )

Seriously, there are times we get out of hand and I think you are correct that some people overreact. Thanks for making us think about what we say and do.

Tiki, I've got to admit I was scared of the place at first. I spent about a year just reading all of the posts before I finally felt I had this group figured out (if that's possible). Now that I've met a few of the group at shows, it sometimes really does feel like my own disfunctional family. Even though we are all wading through a ton of posts on Alpine/complaining/etc. it still is the best Buffett site out there (must be because of the first rate moderators on this site :D ).
