Reasons you're still a parrothead
Ok, figured I'd throw a somewhat positive thread out there, with all the complaining going on about Jimmy of late, why is it that your still a parrothead? I know for me it has to do with the continued quality of the music. As a younger ph I am still discovering some of JB's older stuff, and it keeps me interested. On top of that there are very few people whose presence I enjoy more than parrotheads, making his JB's shows some of the funnest times I'll ever have. Feel free to hi jack this thread with rabbits balancing plates of chinese food on there heads if you deem this thread unecesary
Just figured we could use some positive Jimmy stuff round here.

You have a particularly nasty spyware program in your computer. it turns all kinds of thing you type into links and is hard as hell to get rid of. I had to dump everything in my computer and reload from scratch to get rid of it. Good luck.

I'm still a fan because I think Buffett still has something to offer musically. Since climbing on board in the early 70s I've never once comtemplated jumping ship despite some rough waters (or "Hot"
) along the way. I can't say that about too many performers that have been around as long as Buffett has. In fact the kind of longevity he's enjoyed seems to be the exception rather than the rule, especially these days when you run the risk of being dropped by your label if you don't have a hit single right away.

I am still a parrothead because i simply see no reason to stop being one. Oh yeah, and Jimmy sings pretty good songs and he's got a very cool lifestyle his music portrays. Mostly it has to do with the laid-back component of all of his music; it doesn't try to change the world, but at the same time its not sappy and all lovey-dovey so to say

Because of the carefree, party lifestyle that you get to have when you meet other parrotheads. What other type of gathering can you have 10-80k drunk people partying together and you rarely ever hear of a fight?
Oh yeah, and BN tailgates (even when there ain't a show) keep me coming back for more!

I grew up listening to Jimmy, like I've said before. I remember when I as a kid waking up on sunday morning to the smell of mom and dad cooking a big breakfast before church and the One Particular Harbour cd being blared throughout the house... wait I guess It was probally album back then, (whichever).

I've been a Parrothead since i first heard "Songs you know by heart" at a college party. I stole the tape, and played it until it would play anymore. I have found me a home, and the weather IS here..sorry to many JB lines...pair8head wrote:Being a parrothead isn't a choice.
