Everything about the show felt perfect for Hawaii. There was a relaxed vibe to the day. The BN crew was strong and it was great to meet so many of you. Look forward to more fun in Vegas come October.
As for the show, the venue was the best I've seen Jimmy at. I can't believe how small the place is. The security dudes rocked! A bunch of us piled into the aisle and started dancing when POW started. They never bothered us and it was a blast to be dancing and enjoying a Buffett show without people asking you to sit down. Cameras were easy to bring in and they did little to discourage using them. The drink lines were small so you only missed half a song if you hustled.
The special guests were fabulous and Jimmy seemed to love their contributions (though I missed the lack of a Jack Johnson appearance). The entire day could be summed up by the final song. Duke's On Sunday's felt exactly like the entire day. Buffett in Hawaii was everything I hoped for! Unlike the mainland tour, there were no video monitors (venue too small to need them) and no lighthouse. It was a Tiki themed stage and the intermission was fairly short.
One downside, Waikiki/Honolulu is nothing like the Hawaii I've come to love. The beach is the only thing that makes it different from Chicago's South Side. Just a dirty, crowded city full of drugs. Hopefully, he'll play Maui next time.

Great pics CBJ! Thanks for sharing, as always. Hopefully somebody recorded it for you. I was headed home when the show was going, a little tough to get that DSL line hooked up to the old lap top when I'm driving and we're at 40,000 feet. Glad it was a good show, wish I could have heard it.
If you're over here for the Las Vegas or San Diego shows, let me know. We'll have to meet up for drinks. That is, if you can handle someone from the RIGHT side of the road buying you drinks!
Thanks again for the great pics!
