Islanders,
There is an historic event happening at Wrigley Field this summer: Jimmy Buffett playing in center field. According to Buffett's website, etc there will not be any other Chicagoland shows (as in no Alpine Valley or Tinley Park), just the Wrigley Field dates on Sept 4th (Sun) and Sept 5th (Mon) of Labor Day weekend.
As you can imagine the tickets sold out instantly and are almost impossible to get. We have located a source for just enough tickets to take ONE bus from the Port of Blarney on the Sunday show (so everyone has Labor Day to recover) but it will be expensive.
The rest of our Blarney to Buffett traditions would be continued in that we would get a stretch motor coach (with nice bathroom), have tons of beer & "Rob's Rum Punch", sandwiches for the ride home and a historic, commemorative t-shirt. The down side is that it will cost almost $200 per person! We have it broken down to be $195 each.
Since this is such a costly event we need to know right away if there is enough interest for us to organize the but trip and tickets or if we should just do our own thing ( 'cause there's no way we're missing it). Please let us know right away if you would want to do the package deal and we will get it done. If not, we certainly understand. We need you to reply this week so we know whether or not to organize the group. In order to reserve your tickets for this event you must pay for them in full to guarantee a spot for this trip. If you are interested please call 847-395-3804 to reserve your spot.
