I went to the Las Vegas show and meet up with a few people who said the this tour will be Jimmy's last tour. Anyone out there know if this is true or not! I've searched but can't find a yes or no answer.

I think the set list would be much stronger and he wouldn't end it with something like Pirate Looks @ 40. Prolly more like Lovely Cruise or something like that.

Cher has been on her "farewell tour" for the last 100 years or so. Maybe Jimmy will do the same thing. Think the tickets are high now, wait till he starts his "last tour"

Welcome, Nishijin.

Jimmy seems to be having way too much fun on stage this year to call it quits. He's talked about going back into the studio after he's done producing "Hoot", so that's another indicator that he's not done yet.

I read in an interview that the last song he would play on his 'last show' would be Lovely Cruise.
That being said--He is heading back into the studio to record another cd. He is only 58 and still "kickin' ass". Willie Nelson is still on tour and I believe he is in his 70's. I don't think we will lose Buffett anytime soon. He is a born troubador, and a travelin' man. He enjoys what he does, and will continue to do it as long as he is able to enjoy it. Look at the Stones, Dylan, Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker, Neil Diamond, etc... None of these folks really need to go on the road anymore, but they do. Keep the faith(a great song by Billy Joel) and have hope. Have Phun and enjoy his music, but most of all...enjoy your life.
Love Everybody :)

Oh dear God...not the Cher comparison again!!

At the upcoming Atlanta show on June 13 he is going to announce his retirement plans .... he's going to settle down, and you can get tix here HERE. Don't worry about that other name - they're tossing her out to make room for Jimmy!

it better not be jimmy's last tour. i expect to see about five times as many tour dates and locations, if it was his last tour.

The San Jose Show said it all. Jimmy was quite clear that he was not even close to done. As for this tour..... it looks like it will end on the West Coast in October. 2 shows in Vegas with one show in San Diego tucked in between. My sources are solid on this one. Waiting for word on the presale. Looks like I'll be burning a "personal necessity day" or two in October.

When do you think they will announce the Vegas shows? I have heard the dates are suppose to be Oct 22nd and 29th.

Did they have a pre-sale for Vegas tickets last October when he played out there?

FINS UP
