Any other geeks excited about the new movie next month? The original first and second are on tv right now. I hated the first two pre-quels. But this next one looks good. I've sworn I wouldn't see it but the trailers have me a bit excited so I guess I"ll be going.

I was 12 when the first one came out. Parents, sibs and I stood in a line that went around a building and down the street to see the first one. I've been hooked ever since. I pre-bought the tix for the first pre-quel for my sons who were around my age at the time. We stood in the same sort of line. But that rabbit eared thing drove me nuts and I never did come to love this movie. Maybe when this one comes out I'll watch them all in a row and they'll make more sense.

May 19 has been marked on the family calendar for several months now

well I did run and shower...

My geekiness will be in full force at 12:01 am when the new movie comes out, since I work 2nd shift, and I drive by the theatres on the way home, I'll join the geekfest for one of the midnight shows.

I'm surprised there are so many books out already, including the novel, and a picture story book that details the whole movie, I saw a few pics and then put it down so I didn't ruin it.

Supposedly, Anakin doesn't appear in the Vader suit until near the end, so don't expect Vader right away.

I will be at the midnight screening when it opens. My wife just rolls her eyes, but she indulges me.

Been waiting almost my whole life for this movie. I am trying not to get overly exctited about it though.

I'll be there at midnight premeire with my two recently constructed replica light sabers. Not sure if I'm gonna wear the Jedi suit that I wore to a halloween party. Reading the book right now. Should be lots of carnage!!!!
I myself love the prequels as well as the old ones, after all they're one big movie.

The scary part for me is that I know "kids" who are excited about going to see it, b/c they weren't ALIVE when it first came out!!!

Who here received the montly Bantha Tracks fan club magazine as a kid? I will definitely see it on opening day. I've seen every one on opening day expect Ep IV (I was 3 when it was originally released in '77). I would be there at midnight, except my wife insists that we see it together and she isn't willing to go then (something about teaching 4th graders on no sleep she has a problem with). I p*** her off by reading the book before the opening of Ep II. I've had to promise to stay away from spoilers this time around, though I don't think we'll really see any as surprising as Anaken losing his hand or the first glipse of Yoda battling this time around.
