Ok, with all the sports fans we have on here I'm a little surprised there isn't a posting on this already...
What's everyone's take on the draft this year?
Amazingly, Maurice Clarette won't be leeching off LaBron James for at least another year...MA_Buffett_Fan23 wrote:Ok, with all the sports fans we have on here I'm a little surprised there isn't a posting on this already...![]()

Gibson getting drafted so high is a joke. He's a total gimp and majorly overrated.BahamaBreeze wrote:The first year in 3 years that the Patriots didn't draft any UGA dawgs![]()
Not sure about their picks. I guess time will tell.
UF had a bad year. But then, we had virtually no seniors at all. 2 juniors drafted. Crowder would have been a 1st/2nd rounder if he didn't have questionable knees. Fason I'm curious about...4th rounder...but led the SEC in rushing and dominated teams who had "top ranked defenses" like FSU....BahamaBreeze wrote:SEC players did well too.
Gibson was drafted in the 4th round. Is that high? The problem with Fred is that the first 3 years he would play basketball instead of trying to bulk up in the weight room.ParrotheadGator wrote:Gibson getting drafted so high is a joke. Pollack however was a total stud
You guys getting Ronnie Brown was a great pick!tequilatom wrote:i was happy with dolphins getting a running back. there 2nd pick was good. not sure about the 3rd. haven't seen who they selected today.
just came from there. thanks though. i was hoping for a stud offensive line men. and another reciever to complement chambers. i would of like to see them also get orlavsky from uconn. but we'll see what saban can do.BahamaBreeze wrote:You guys getting Ronnie Brown was a great pick!tequilatom wrote:i was happy with dolphins getting a running back. there 2nd pick was good. not sure about the 3rd. haven't seen who they selected today.

At least my Bengals didn't go for Clarett. We don't need that problem.RinglingRingling wrote:Amazingly, Maurice Clarette won't be leeching off LaBron James for at least another year...MA_Buffett_Fan23 wrote:Ok, with all the sports fans we have on here I'm a little surprised there isn't a posting on this already...![]()

We will take all those dawg up in Cincy. Looking forward to seeing Pollock in Bengals stripes.
Whodey!

4th round isn't high, but for Gibson I think it is. He can get timid. He hear's those footsteps and just freaks.BahamaBreeze wrote:Gibson was drafted in the 4th round. Is that high? I love Fred, but I hope when the Steelers play the Patriots, he DROPS the ball!
And how about NO GA TECH players getting drafted?? LOL
In fairness, USC had a very young team. It's not like they graduated all their best players (as Auburn did).land_shark3 wrote:WAR EAGLE!!!
Auburn certainly had an impressive showing! 3 in the top 10 and before the first player from the so called national champ was drafted.![]()

yup ... he would never take a hit ... not great hands. I wish Georgia could have kept him a couple of more years ...ParrotheadGator wrote:4th round isn't high, but for Gibson I think it is. Or maybe that was just against UF![]()
but I agree, playing basketball did interfere...but he never earned his reputation. He was an average receiver at best. He had the talent to be really good, but never applied. I don't think he'll make it in the NFL.
