Ok, with all the sports fans we have on here I'm a little surprised there isn't a posting on this already... :-? What's everyone's take on the draft this year?

Amazingly, Maurice Clarette won't be leeching off LaBron James for at least another year...

Kansas City got pretty lucky Derrick Johnson dropped, I'm pretty happy about that. And even though taking a punter as high as they did is ridiculous, we need one bad.

I was glad to see Darren Sproles go, I was hopin' he could hang in there longer for KC to pick him up.

The first year in 3 years that the Patriots didn't draft any UGA dawgs :(

Not sure about their picks. I guess time will tell.

I for one am happy about Cadillac Williams coming to Tampa Bay...everyone bla bla blaing about his size...Guess they forgot about Warrick Dunn!

AND I am doubly happy that our first 3 picks were Offense players!

AND I am really happy that so many FSU players made decent showings in the draft. 9th year in a row FSU wide Receivers went in the first four rounds. :) Guess my alumni contributions are buying some exposure...LOL

Gibson getting drafted so high is a joke. He's a total gimp and majorly overrated.

Pollack however was a total stud

UF had a bad year. But then, we had virtually no seniors at all. 2 juniors drafted. Crowder would have been a 1st/2nd rounder if he didn't have questionable knees. Fason I'm curious about...4th rounder...but led the SEC in rushing and dominated teams who had "top ranked defenses" like FSU.... :-?

my steelers left me unsure about how i felt. i did not like the pick of heath miller in the first round. its not that i dont like him, its i dont like him with the steelers. were now gonna have to pay him a lot of money, just to block. if history repeats itself (which im sure it will) then miller wont get a lot of balls thrown his way. in the later rounds i think we did a good job with covering the areas were we needed to.

Gibson was drafted in the 4th round. Is that high? The problem with Fred is that the first 3 years he would play basketball instead of trying to bulk up in the weight room.

I love Fred, but I hope when the Steelers play the Patriots, he DROPS the ball!

And how about NO GA TECH players getting drafted?? LOL

At least my Bengals didn't go for Clarett. We don't need that problem.

We will take all those dawg up in Cincy. Looking forward to seeing Pollock in Bengals stripes.

Whodey!

4th round isn't high, but for Gibson I think it is. He can get timid. He hear's those footsteps and just freaks.

Or maybe that was just against UF 8)

but I agree, playing basketball did interfere...but he never earned his reputation. He was an average receiver at best. He had the talent to be really good, but never applied. I don't think he'll make it in the NFL.

WAR EAGLE!!!

Auburn certainly had an impressive showing! 3 in the top 10 and before the first player from the so called national champ was drafted.

In fairness, USC had a very young team. It's not like they graduated all their best players (as Auburn did).

That said, Auburn should have been playing in the NC game against USC...it would have been a far better game. The BCS continues to screw it up year in and year out

yup ... he would never take a hit ... not great hands. I wish Georgia could have kept him a couple of more years ...
