Perhaps I should know this and I did try to search for it but since "Search feature is not available at this time"

I wasn't able to find anything..
Is he fictitious? If not, who is he?

Ken Patchett. I believe Jerry Jeff Walker turned JB onto him. There's some dialogue about this on the JJW 60th birthday celebration concert that was broadcast on Radio Margaritaville.

That song literally changed my life. Always a creative lad, I heard that song live as a second encore in 1991 in Tallahassee, FL. It really left me with a feeling of uneasiness about my life. I finished up my business degree at FSU as planned but soon followed my heart and went to grad school in English. My life has been a Jimmy Buffett song ever since. The adventure never ends....

I read that and thought to myself, "wow 60 is old" but than i realized Jimmy is almost 60 and hes still running all over the world
