This site is totally awesome. Have had very little trouble myself. Most of the time it doesn't ask for the password, but when it does...it sometimes times a lot of tries. Are most of you that are having trouble using dial-up or broadband?
Can anyone tell me how to record these shows from RM myself?

Does anyone know what kind of files the NYC show from 1986 with Steve Winwood are. I don't recognize them?

They are lossless files
You can find a tool for converting the .shn files here

Has anyonehad any trouble with viruses after downloading anything from this first site. I copied Minneapolis, 1980 and Lake Lanier, 1982 and partially downloaded the Millenium DVD. I really was concerned about the DVD, so I deleted it. Ever since I copied these, My Documents won't load from the start menu. Just curious if anyone else had a similar problem and what the heck they did to fix it?

I can't say I ever had any viruses from that site... I did download that very DVD
(I think it was from there), and I did not have any problems. I have had other problems, not related to those particular data files, but related to my ftp app. Make sure you have the latest update of whatever antivirus software you use, installed on you computer...

Hey BNers....I found my problem finally and it had nothing to do with the downloads. Thank goodness..I would be po'd if I couldn't access these shows.

(this site is very touchy you have to enter the username and password a few times but this one is the best site i have found and has about 100-150 live shows dating back to the 1970's)
ftp://frozentundra.cs.und.edu
(this site is easier to use normally accepts the password right away but only has the 2005 tour shows and some rare tracks)
both sites have the the same username and password
USERNAME: jimmy
PASSWORD: buffett
Hey phan,
Any chance of seeing the Camden show up there? I sure would love to relive it. Thanks for all your hard work.

Hmm...do you think uploading to the site would be a good thing or a bad thing?
Posted: August 9, 2006 10:31 pm

depends on what you want to upload, if it is JJW's birthday bash a few years ago when buffett showed up that would be a very good thing but maybe just wishful thinking
Wishful thinking indeed

Yeah, if only I had that. Well as far as shows that arent uploaded as of yet- like Camden or Nissan. I dont want to step on anyone's toes. I think that beer site is top notch. I just hope it isnt being abandoned. It is too precious as it is. I cant tell you how happy I was to find it. If I find the Camden or other shows that arent there, would it be out of line for me to upload it?
Posted: August 9, 2006 10:57 pm
by phansheridan
it tends to take upto two weeks after a show happens, its not being abandoned it just isnt instantanious
Whew!

OK, in that case I will sit tight and be patient. Instant gratification is overrated anyway.
Let me know if I can help- if ever needed. Thanks again to whomever founded it, keeps it going and for the replies phan.
PHINS UP!!

The Servebeer site is operated by Captain Morgan, you
could send him a message regarding uploading if you
have shows that he doesn't have there
