Live In Hawaii Store Version
So the national release of Live In Hawaii has the entire track list on the back of the record as well as an extra jewel casing for the DVD. And it's slightly cheaper at Tower than ordering it through Mailboat.
Has anyone bought this version? I have the Mailboat mail version. And I made the MiniMatinee#1 a single-double DVD case since both DVDs are from the Tiki Time Tour. Anyone else do that?

Yes. Glad they started putting the tracklist on the back cover and improved the packaging so there'd be a place to store the DVD.TommyMacLuckie wrote:Has anyone bought this version?

I got mine from Mailboat. I was kinda p*** that it didn't have any kind of track listing (all of the other Tiki Time CDs had that little paper). The DVD in the CD envelope was a little annoying too. I am kinda glad that the green case matches all of the other Tiki Time CD cases though (being the same size). That was all that I really liked about the packaging of the Mailboat version.
I still love old magazines and Snickers bars....

If I recall correctly the national version of the Hawaii LP was around $18 or so at Tower and today at Wal-Crap I saw it for $13 something. At the same time, The Rolling Stones Virgin Records recent reissue of Made In The Shade at Tower is about $13 something and at Wal-Bunk it's exactly $9.72.
I'll probably hold out on the second version of the Hawaii LP and wait to get the Fenway LP, whenever that comes out, at Wal-Dump.
I did almost buy the lighthouse at Wal-Poop today.
I don't like Wal-Mart. It's not that they exist, it's just being in the store that drives me mad! Everyone is so slow.

For some reason, just reading this post made me giggle. (not a big walmart fan either, I never seem to go when there's less than a storeful of idiots)TommyMacLuckie wrote:If I recall correctly the national version of the Hawaii LP was around $18 or so at Tower and today at Wal-Crap I saw it for $13 something. Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all..
So not only does the national version have a jewel case for the DVD but there is now pictures on the inside as well? The Mailboat mail version has nothing on the inside at all.
Is it that important to own all albums by Jimmy no matter what form they are in? It sure the hell isn't. I haven't bought any of the other Tiki Time albums - I figured the Hawaii LP would be the best bet. But I'm so tempted to get the new Hawaii version just for the fact that the track listing is on the back. I can give the original version to my dad, who has the Seattle Tiki album.
Then again, it's not going anywhere now that it's out in stores.
