Its funny.....Some of the Carribbean is on the same sattelite as us... but Jamaica isnt.... I am sure India isnt either. I am sure you will have internet access. India is pretty hi tech

Christina!!! Wow! I'm sooooooooo jealous! Great decision, IMO, btw... You will never regret this. Travelling to different countries and experiencing new places and cultures is so much fun. Since you will be there for 5 weeks, you will certainly get homesick, but just keep in mind that it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and you will learn so much about yourself and your life from this experience. And the poverty there is bad... you will be shocked and horrified by it, but there are also so many wonderful things about India that you will surely love. (from what I hear from my Indian friends and friends that have travelled there)
I am having lunch this week with my friend Deepa and I'll be sure to ask her about must-see places. Which city will you be stationed in? India's a big country so I'll start asking Deepa about places to visit that will be close to you.

The flight is going to be about 24 hours w/ a layover in Frankfurt, Germany.

I am also going to be in India from July 23 to August 23...I am going to be in Hyperbad....dont know how close that is to where you will be. All I know is that Hyperbad is in South India.
