Due to the nature of the "Detroit announced" thread going totally downhill (in more ways than 1) I open this thread for any comments regarding JB coming to or not coming to Detroit.

I'm sure D-Town will be announced....unfortunately not this season!

Although I did hear a rumor that in conjunction with Super Bowl XXX in Detroit next year that JB may do a show at the Pontiac Silverdome which would be the final concert ever performed at the venue before it is closed for good   !

I've still got my fingers crossed for somewhere in or near Detroit. Personally,

I think the Silverdome would be too big a venue for Jimmy to play. I mean c'mon, it's 80,000 + seats. HATED it for watching football and there is a lot more action and people in a football game than in a stage show.

Now, a show at Oldsmobile Park in Lansing. That would be incredible. Nice quaint little minor league stadium setting.

I'm in Mt. Pleasant, btw

I saw the George Strait festival there, it was awful, Late July with lots of body heat and no A.C. The sound was awful but I did think it was cool that I was peeing on the same 50 yeard line that Barry Sanders was gonna run across!!!

one yeah there were 8 bands inside that day, and I thought the show was stolen by the third act of the day.....some guy named Kenny.

Isn't Toronto pretty close to Detroit (2-2.5 hours)?

Toronto is 3 1/2 to 4 hours away. Straight up the 401. I drive it way to to many times a year for hockey. I need to shoot a freezer!

Yes, false hope, an a evening of way too many brews. Hanging out on Lake Erie wishing the best. But, if he hits any of the OAI properties, I will have it first!

Till the next rumor! Best of luck MSU, go Blue!
