Dell Laptop

I have had the Dell 600 for about 6 months and love it, and have had no problems to date (though I have heard about long waits for help or technical support). I upgraded the memory and the hard drive, and took out a 4 year warranty. We also shopped the website for several weeks for the best deal (they change weekly, on Wednesdays or Thursdays I believe) and some deals are much better than others. We picked this model as it is one of the lighter weight ones, and having just traveled with it, that worked great.

I am still not the most savvy on the computer, though this is my second laptop (the first was a Toshiba) but I have had no problems. And from the time the box arrived, it was under 30 minutes and I was online.

Dell does have some kiosks set up in some shopping malls ( including one about 10 miles from me) so I was able to see the different models before committing to one.

Just a hint on the tech suppport. Tell the person on the phone that you are trouble understanding and then do the same thing with the next person. Once again. Then they tend to transfer you to some one in the states.
