Friday Fives

Post by buffettbride »

1. What is your favorite summer activity?
We love having tons of friends over to BBQ.

2. What plans do you have for this summer?
I'm going to Mexico in June (and also gonna see Jimmy at Nissan) and going to San Diego for a week in July/August.

3. When you were a child, what was your favorite summer activity?
Going to Elitch Gardens, a local amusement park (which isn't there any more because it was moved and re-named to be a Six Flags Theme Park).

4. What has been your favorite summer vacation?
I've never really taken a lot of summer vacations, but the weekend before my senior year in high school was to begin, some friends and I took a road trip to Minneapolis to hang out with some friends-of-friends. Got my belly-button pierced and kissed a girl.

5. Summer goes well into September, but when do you feel like it is over?
When I was a kid, it was when school started, now it's when I have to start warming up my car in the morning instead of getting in and going right away.

Sell my house. :-? And maybe go to Southern Nevada a couple more times. 8)

3. When you were a child, what was your favorite summer activity?
Going to the pool. I still have a crush on a couple of those lifeguards.

4. What has been your favorite summer vacation?
The time I went to Australia for a month. I had just graduated college and all that money was burning a hole in my pocket. :pirate:

5. Summer goes well into September, but when do you feel like it is over?
In Atlanta, its usually 70+ well into November. But for me, Summer is over when I have to start wearing long sleeves to tailgate at football games.

1. What is your favorite summer activity?
I love spending time at the lake. Golf is also way up on the list

2. What plans do you have for this summer?
Big family reunion in Michigan in Late July/Early August. Once I get my house painted I am taking the rest of the summer off from projects

3. When you were a child, what was your favorite summer activity?
I loved to go fishing whenever I could.

4. What has been your favorite summer vacation?
We used to do marathon drives to visit relatives. I remember getting stuck in traffic in July in Downtown Chicago in our jeep without A/C That sucked. But when we got to Michigan I always seemed to hook up with hot chicks from the area.

5. Summer goes well into September, but when do you feel like it is over?
Around Mid-September I want it to be over.

1. What is your favorite summer activity?
Cubs games

2. What plans do you have for this summer?
As if I haven't already mentioned it a thousand times... I'm travelling to Brazil and Ireland. :D

3. When you were a child, what was your favorite summer activity?
I grew up on a lake in Indiana, so anything to do with lake activities... lots of swimming, boating, catching turtles, feeding ducks, fishing, etc.

4. What has been your favorite summer vacation?
I never went on vacation in the summer as a kid because living by the lake was already a vacation-like atmosphere. But going to Ireland & France last summer was really cool... swimming in the Mediterranean... way fun!

5. Summer goes well into September, but when do you feel like it is over?
Once it's too cold to swim in the lake... and the World Series.

:( :( :(

Hey, I almost jumped into a pond while walking into the Tweeter show at Tinley last year. I still don't know what stopped me. I was running right toward it and then I think my guardian angel kicked in.

Come to a show with me and I will promise you a great time.

Skinnydipping, is it wrong?

buffettbride wrote:1. What is your favorite summer activity?
Doing things with the Kids, fishing, swimming coaching softball etc. Sitting on my porch and watching the world go by as day turns into night. Golf, Buffett etc.

2. What plans do you have for this summer?
If the bank comes through, we would like to go to FLA. The kids have not seen my folks in three years. If not, a trip or two to Chicago, zoo's, museums and maybe Wrigley. Plus trying to see Jimmy at Wrigley or Indy

3. When you were a child, what was your favorite summer activity?
Daily, we played baseball from morning till it was too dark to see the ball. 6, 8, 10 games a day. Right field closed, pitchers hand out, who gets stuck with Teddy Wobs. That and going to Cubs games. i started going by myself in 5th grade. please do not share this with my oldest daughter. I would mow a lawn for $3.00 the "L" was 45 cents each way and the bleachers were 50 cents. i could eat my fill at Henry's with the rest. I have 46 ticket stubs from 1969 and 70.

4. What has been your favorite summer vacation?
We took the week before and the week after July 4th and went on our big vacation every year. Started in Wisconsin, places like Wild Rose, then Mercer and Land O' Lakes and finally about the last five years I was at home, Canada. These trips were the best

5. Summer goes well into September, but when do you feel like it is over?
Labor Day pretty much ends stuff for us. Iowa schools start the week before. After Labor Day, fall soccer starts, Norma's school work ramps up and we enter the last weeks of our major campaign of the years. So it goes downhill quickly

Summer of '77 was one of the best here too. Rec League softball champs. Camping trips almost every weekend. Working in a liquor store, great parties. Making many new "friends" and basically living like a college kid out of control

As a child, it was when school started. Now it's when I have to quit wearing shorts and have to start wearing long pants.
