I put 'em outside. It's the Buddha in me, I guess. Mind you, we do not have poisonous spiders in Nova Scotia.
I just don't like the surprise factor of spiders . . . they, in and of themselves, are fine little critters.

my option (call husband) wasn't on list.
Before marriage I would move to another bedroom if I saw a spider in one. (3 bedroom house) I'm not getting close enough to squash...
The kitties usually find them and dispatch them before we do now....

Spiders don't bother me nor do snakes but what about bats!! there's something about waking up in the middle of the night to find a bat flying around in your bedroom! Most people have a fire plan in there house, I have a bat plan! hate those damn things

I don't mind spiders because they eat buggy stuff I really don't like(like bees, carpenter bees are the reason I had an irrational fear of eggplant when I was 5. Don't ask.) so I let them live, unless I wake up next to one!
I still love old magazines and Snickers bars....
