sure... and then you make up for it on the back end with everything else... including renting a room for The Man to play. (although, as an idea... ever wonder what a buyout of an M'ville restaurant for a night would go for?)
Full Venue Buyout
No parallels of latitude or longitude mark the spot exactly. You don’t have to be a navigator to get there. Just follow the sails and your appetite for the ultimate party is at Margaritaville. Three distinct levels all fully serviced give your guests the option to sit and socialize, dance the night away or just enjoy their favorite cocktail on our roof top patio.
Full venue buyouts can accommodate up to 1500 guests.
I am not going to highjck my own thread.... so I will mention again the the point of the poll is to get an idea of where people live so that if this thing flies... we have a general idea of desirable location.
The ideas are great... this is very fun to consider!

NASHVILLE !!!!
I'm with you 100%
Actually, Nashville (altlhough it is Southeast, not really DEEP South), is within 600 miles of 50% of the population of the U.S., has an major airport, LOADS of hotel/motel accommodations, and many venues, large & small (& a couple of medium ones).
The Gaylord Entertainment Center is mostly sitting idly by since hockey season got canceled.

Vegas= desert, so almost like the beach, just add water

Actually I believe Kansas is the centerpoint of the contential US. And I for one will not vote for Kansas. (No offense meant...one of my keets is there for the summer!!! )
"since jimmy is in sag harbor parts of the summer.. maybe we can get him in the old bay street theater.. so his travel time is nothing and i can be home in 20 minutes.."
Sag Harbor would be amazing...or Montauk, even! I couldn't be home in twenty minute anymore but it would be worth the trip!!! [/quote]

I know I've brought this up before, but what about Sound Advice Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach as a possibility. It is literally 20 minutes from Jimmy's house, has 7000 reserved seats, plus lawn. This would keep the cost down on him traveling, and it is in a beautiful area. Just my two cents.

That would definetly be an issue to discuss if this flies. I would assume do the lotto for reserved, except for people who request lawn, and when that runs out, everyone else would go to the lawn. I dont know, just an idea
I also would still like to see it at red rocks. That seats over 9000
