Should be a perfect movie for BN.
Nuh, uh! There are NO cliques at BN! Just groups of like minded people that gang up on newbies for no apparent reason. 8)

Not sure about that, but the writers did go to BYU, but that doesn't necessarily make them Mormon.
Why would any non-Mormon choose to go to BYU? Did you ever check out the code of conduct at that place? Scary. :o
I'm sure some people are raised Mormon, go to BYU, and then leave the church shortly after they graduate. I don't know of specific Mormon examples, but how many ex-Catholics do you know?
Come to think of it, I think Trey Parker (of South Park fame) grew up Mormon, or maybe I just think that because of that Orgazmo movie.
I live in Salt Lake Idaho. There are ex mormons everywhere.

there is even one on the board whose Family is still mormon

and I have a very Mormon lil sis who has been my Road Parrot for
Jimmy Shows six times now.. :D

As near as I can tell after checking the credits and checking with friends at the Utah Film Board who are friends with the director the Mormon Church was not involved in making this film. The closest them came were two aspects, some of the scenes were shot on property owned by the Church and Zions Bank loaned some money to the producers.

As for Jim McMahon, among other non-Mormon jocks at BYU the reason for attending was simple, free education and a chance to start right away. The code of conduct really doesn't apply to the star athletes or it didn't when Jim attended BYU.

And just to be clear my favorite college teams are the Arizona Wildcats and anyone playing BYU.

The star of the movie, dont know his name, is a Mormon. I thought it was great and my IQ is 131, so I dont believe that there is any correlation between IQ and dumb movies.

right but that is a long way from the Mormon Church backed the movie

also small town Idaho I would be shocked if most of the players
weren't LDS
