I got this email update from Sirius today...

Jimmy Buffett and SIRIUS are teaming up to bring you a true taste of radio paradise: Radio Margaritaville, debuting this summer exclusively on SIRIUS. The brainchild of the popular singer, songwriter and author, Radio Margaritaville will be a 'round-the-clock source of great music, live broadcasts of Buffett's concerts and other unique programs. Beginning May 23rd, you can hear a special sneak preview on channel 98.

Awesome!! I just switched to dish network today, which provides Sirus radio. Which means I dont have to be locked away at my computer to listen to RM. I can listen to it on the big speakers while I am doing dishes, watching the keet, making dinner. Life is good. Can't wait to tune in. :D

hopefully RM will change it's format a bit and stop playing so much stuff that's not tropical.

Amen, brother! I hear ya, a little change in the format would make it unique to Sirius.

I just switched from XM to Sirius last week. I must say, the programming is better, and so is the signal!

Has anyone heard what time the preview will start airing? Will it be an all-day preview, or just snip-its?

At least we don't have to wait until July or August!!! :D

FYI

If you are a subscriber you can listen to most of the Sirius stations over the net. Just go right to the Sirius website to get your password.

I have found a kewl little application that will also let you access Sirius on your PC without going to the Sirius website... http://www.itsonsirius.com/

I think I'll get my free 3 day pass on the internet starting May 23.

I guess it's time to get Sirius for the car, motorcycle and boat. Any suggestions about a portable one and the setup to dock into in the house?

I have the "Sportster", got it as a gift, it's ok, but some of the others seem to have better features.. definitely look around

The preview is playing through the recievers but not online. It seems to just be looping right now though, this is the same thing they did for the Maxim channel on 145 until it launched officially..... :( :)

I'm a Sirius subscriber and I saw on their website that RM will be available online starting June 15th. No coincidence that the premiere date is the same as the Nissan Pavilion concert. That's the good news. The bad news is we have to wait until June 15th!! :(
