Lotsa good thoughts needed**UPDATE**

Post by buffettbride »

***UPDATE***

Well, the procedure to help Grandma Dorothy's heart went very well. She was home from the hospital by Saturday. However, last night she suffered a "mini stroke"...still learning what that is as MIL gets a little freaked out and doesn't always convey exactly what is going on. Nevertheless, Grandma Dorothy still needs your thoughts and prayers.

She seems to have all of her faculties, both mental and physical, but is expected to remain in the hospital for at least the next several days.

Thanks so much everyone. Grandma Dorothy is the light of Papa Tony's world; having her so sick just breaks his fragile 'lil heart. :( :( :(

Matt's grandmother, Dorothy, has been in the hospital since 1am. She has a history of heart problems and was having chest pains last night. They performed an angiogram earlier this morning and found blockage, and so she's headed into surgery right now to have a shint??? inserted.

She just turned 80 a month or so ago, so she's got a lot of miles on her, but she is the love of Matt's grandfather's (Papa Tony...who is probably my favorite person on the planet), life and needs all the good thoughts she can get that the surgery goes well and she recovers quickly.

Thanks so much everyone.

My dad had something like that done a couple years back.
They inserted a stint to prop up an artery, and it's worked pretty darn good since! :P

That's what we're hoping for. Her main disadvantage is her age, which always makes surgery challenging at best. :-? :-? It doesn't help that MIL is a total spaz and freaks out about everything.
