our little town's real estate company puts out flags by all our mailboxes for Memorial Day and July 4th . . .

pretty neat to drive down the street and see them all waving . .

I also have one my door . .

yes, I am very proud to be an American . .! !

It's nice to see that peeps haven't forgotten............ the reason for this holiday or the fact that we still have men and women in harms way.

God bless our troops - past and present!

ABSOLUTELY, Everyday now, Son gave me a second flag-pole for Mother's Day, so I can fly the red, white and blue every day and a decorative flag everyday too...... Right now we have Old Glory & USCG both flying high

Yes.

We get so immune to seeing the flag. Because, I think, we always have a flag as near as the closest post office or school, if nothing else. We're a little bit spoiled, that way.

But I remember vividly being in Bahrain, and NOT being able to see the American flag unless I went to the base (well, unless you count the ones on all the bumper stickers, surrounded by a red circle with a slash, the universal symbol for "no"... :-? ). I used to take the long way to work, just so I could go past the American Embassy and see Old Glory flying high.

Imagine this: U.S. servicemembers in many countries CAN'T wear anything (shirt, jacket, etc) with an American flag on it outside the base. It isn't safe.... They don't wear uniforms off base, either, but travel back and forth from home in civilian clothes, for safety reasons.

You betcha, that flag is flying. We are *blessed* in this country.
